Task 10.3 specifically defines the Civil Rights movement as a struggle for social justice that took place mainly during the 1950s and 1960s for Black Americans to gain equal rights under the law in the United States. The GRs description of The Black Atlantic: Modernity and Double-Consciousness does not indicate that it is predominantly about the US Civil Rights movement of the 60s. If you have a reference that shows that it does indeed fit the task or if you've gotten it approved in the Help Thread, please include links to the references in your repost.

Task 20.2 - from the information given, I assume you're trying to claim option 2 of this task. If so, it's a cover task and, as such, requires that you include the cover in your post.

Task 30.5, option 3 requires a significant portion of the plot to take place in a school and that the setting must be evident on the book's main page. There's nothing in the description of Pumpkins in Paradise that indicates that the book takes place in the school.

Once it's verified as a not-for-kids book, just repost your 50-point task so I can pick up your points. The easiest way to do this so that your links are preserved is to go back to your original post, click on edit at the bottom of the post (reply | edit | delete | flag *), copy what's in the edit box and paste it into the comment box to make a new post.

Kristina, does verification as not-for-kids override the part of the task description that says "No books with the genres children or kids on the main book page may be used."? (I think that's what Joanne was asking with her "oops".)

Yes. The point is that you can’t read books written for children for the 50-point task. If the book has been verified as not really for kids, it can be used.

Task 30.5, option 3 requires that the setting be evident on the book's main page. I don't see anything in the book's description or in the first page reviews that say anything about a significant portion of the book taking place in the school. If there is one, please repost with a link to the review that mentions the school as an important setting.

You're only one task away from finishing the challenge (and I see you've already posted that task, though I haven't verified it, yet). The only purpose for us, as moderators, to track your Golden Oldies tickets is to give you the opportunity to create task 20.4. If you finish the challenge, you're not eligible to create task 20.4 since you'll already be creating a 25-point task (only one task per person per season).

If there's something wrong with that last post and you don't end up finishing the challenge, I'll investigate your GO ticket situation. But if that last post is fine and you finish, your GO tickets will disappear from the Readerboard anyway.

From the Rules of the Challege: 5. Books whose main page lists any of these genres: Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks unless specifically allowed in the task description for a higher point task.

Task 25.7 does not have an allowance for sequential art/graphic novels.

GO tickets- Yes that makes sense, thanks Kristina! I couldn't remember if they carried over somehow to another challenge. I guess now it's just for my personal stats record to see if I can top it another time. If one of mine didn't count as GO I didn't want to pat myself too hard on my back for it (-:

Challenge completion- I'll be sure to check in with time to make any adjustments. I've got the draft of my potential task nearly ready so I guess I'm pretty confident I'll make it. (-:

Eye of the Beholder - The edition you linked is the Kindle edition. The paperback has no page numbers listed. You will need to have a librarian update the paperback or have the ebook verified for length.

You can find the thread for librarian help in the General Help folder. Once the page numbers have been added or the ebook has been verified for length, you'll need to repost so I can pick up your points.
