Additional Rocky the Pet question: I also noticed that some people use Rocky the Pet as a +1 AP (to the hero) in their battles. I'd just like to point out that it should be - 1 AP to the monster, NOT + 1 AP to the hero. Those are two totally different things and they affect the battles in a different way. Thanks to +1 AP to the hero the hero would kill the monster quicker (might even reduce the number of attacks the monster manages to inflict), - 1 AP to the monster means that the monster would inflict less damage but it won't let you kill it any quicker.

Again, did I get it wrong? Because if I did then it's good news and YAY for me. +1 AP to the hero is def better than - 1 AP to monsters esp when battling Jabberwocky and some of the hydras.

#2 1 + 2 = 3. Attack 10
#3 1 + 4 = 5. Attack 15

#5 1 + 8 = 9. Attack 25
#6 1 + 10 = 11 Attack 30
#7 1 + 12 = 13 . Attack 35
#8 1 + 14 = 15 . Attack 40
#9 1 + 16 = 17 . Attack 45
#10 1 + 18 = 19. Attack 50

Rock #1: 1 AP, 5 HP
Rock #2: 3 AP, 10 HP
Rock #3: 5 AP, 15 HP
Rock #4: 7 AP, 20 HP
Rock #5: 9 AP, 25 HP

After rock five though, you can trade in pebbles and then use the -1ap to reduce the attack points on the remaining rocks.

Initially I had made a mistake but when I fixed it, mine also looked like this for the first 5 battles.

I guess I never bothered with adding the rock in battles 6-10 since it made no difference for me. If I couldn't one-stroke it, the second stroke killed the rock.

But I'm sure it could make a difference for those with lower attack strength.

You're right, Teresa. I checked just the first 5 rocks. But as you said you have to detract 1 AP for Rocks 6-10. So it should be:

Rock #6: 10 AP (11-1), 30 HP
Rock #7: 12 AP (13-1), 35 HP
Rock #8: 14 AP (15-1), 40 HP
Rock #9: 16 AP (17-1), 45 HP
Rock #10: 18 AP (19-1), 50 HP

Thesaurus has 30 AP, which is halved if you throw an unusual word at it.

So what is Thesaurus's actual Attack power if you have Rocky the pet and you throw a word at it?

Is it
a) 30/2=15 (word), 15-1= 14 (Rocky)
OR
b) 30-1=29 (Rocky), 29/2= 15 (word)?

LOL! The math is getting tough esp with some of the new rare monsters. I made battle plans for attacking hydra and I filled three A4 sheets of paper with numbers. :) I went over it 3 times and I still find a stray error here and there. :)

The planning is a great fun though. Just to figure out the most efficient order of attacking Hydra heads... it was tough. :)

Hydra is my favourite new monster. The growing AP and different potions you get for defeating different heads makes the strategy you pick just so important. Super-challenging monster and defeating it doesn't rely on your AP power only, you really need to think before you attack it.

In Clinomaniac quest we need to gather feathers by reading a book with either a duck or a chicken in the story. Do they have to be alive (the chicken and/or the duck)? I have a book with a lovely roasted duck in it (it's discussed quite in detail). If the duck is roasted it just mean that somebody already plucked the feathers and they're ready to be stuffed into the matress IMO.;-)

Since you need 10 pebbles to complete Rocky this makes sense..but that seems like a ton of XP so I wanted to check.

I wanted everyone to love my birthday ;) And yes, it was to help out some of the people struggling to catch up on things. But the rocks do end up getting harder so everyone might not be able to power through them all.

I've managed to find a very, very magical time traveling machine, and I'm in the process of using it to go back in time and delve through my books read so far this year.
