Hi! I've done my research and I know this is a longshot, but I'd like it if the works attributed to me were deleted. Any advice would be so, so lovely.I self-published a poetry chapbook "4:41" when I was 17, but it was a rather foolish decision. For starters, I wasn't serious about being a poet at the time. In fact, I was mostly concerned about boosting my chances for college admissions. Additionally, I put poems in there about people close to me, and it ended up harming a lot of relationships; finally, the poems are rather immature and poorly written, and showcase an awful side of my work which could hinder me from publishing my current manuscript-in-progress. I've removed the work almost everywhere on the internet, but goodreads' rather strict policy on archiving published works makes me haunted by my teenage mistakes.
I later put out a miniseries, "Late Night Drives," which was privately shared and added to Goodreads without my consent. Again, this work is not something I want attributed to me, as someone trying to build a (now) serious career.
Anything I can do to scrub these titles off the internet, I'll do. There are some things I can't fix, like how 4:41 has an isbn, but i'm working on burying this information as much as I can. I recognize the importance of archiving work, but I also worry about how the decisions of a rash, unformed, 17 year old self might hold me back.
Any advice? I can offer additional details and contact info if needed. Thank you!
