The book follows their discovery of a human baby girl and what to do when her older sister comes looking for the baby. One of the human sisters is named Chloe. There are elves that come and possibly goblins. I believe the book was written by three teenage girls and is possibly the first in a series. I think there were religious overtones in the series and eventually all the elves and fairies have to leave to escape the humans

Apparently the book is part of a series called Faeltheon. The first two books are called "The Alliance" and "Run Before the Wind".
