Jojo | 2 comments Help! there was this book I read in 5th or 6th grade (2015-2016). It is a thriller/horror book. It was about a boy who went to a house I think it was around halloween. He found out the house had a swamp that took children in and I believe it made them disappear and there was a monster in there that ate them too. He found a room that had the clothes and shoes of all the deceased. If I'm remembering correctly there was a morgue in the basement. And I believe the time stopped there and he had to escape by dusk or he was trapped forever. Please if you have any information on it any will help. I'm sorry for being so vague but this has been bugging me for the last month!

Jojo, that's a start, but we need much more information in the header at the top of the page. Many members only read the headers. We have thousands of book requests, so threads with vague headers are closed.

Copy the genre (e.g., childrens/teens thriller/horror) and plot details from your message #1 to the header by clicking the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website - not the Mobile website or app. (On the Mobile website, there's a "Desktop version" link at the bottom of the page.) -- Then we can re-open the thread.

- Around what year did you read this book? A range of years is fine.

I added some plot details to the header at the top of the page, so your book might be recognized from that description alone. Feel free to edit it.

Might also want to check the Halloween in YA and Middle Grade Fiction list.

Thank you so much! The title jogs the memory for me I'll have to read it again.
