I remember on this map there's this palm tree that says 'Capri' on it and really faded it had another one and it said 'cos'. Like the whole word was Capricos. And some of the family had weird talents because I think they were in a circus. I read this a while ago, probably in the early 2010's. The book felt old but not super old, so late last century is possibly when it was written? Sorry for the vague details. I believe there were a lot of strange dreams involved, too. It had a very surreal feeling.
