Recommendations for a picky reader

Hello, I need some help in picking out my next book. I need some recommendations but am a little picky. I want a book with an alpha who is strong and caring and not an a**hole who runs right over his intended's personality/emotions/opinions/wishes. I am so tired of men who force their own personality onto their partners who just become doormats after a page or two of being a strong or at least standup character. Also, an alpha male who can be hot without this turning their partner into a blithering idiot which seems to be the major trend in romance as of late. I want an alpha who can compromise but still take charge, be strong and sweep their lovers off their feet.

Anyone know of a book with an alpha male like this? I'll take any kind of genre, m/f, m/m, cowboy, business elites, paranormal, athletes, whatever.
