I reside near Gainesville Fla, and a retired senior, Im a avid on-line gamer, and a reader. Up until recently, I'v enjoyed reading Dystopian, Natural disasters, and pandemics.. but it seems that most authors these days seem to fill their stories with the same old things.. corrupt goverments, neighborhood badies, or super preppers that happens to save the world while eating nothing but protien bars.. so, now, my reading enjoyment has shifted to Time Traveling, in fiction form. Im hoping to get suggestions, from other readers from this group, and discussing what we like reading... Time Traveling.

Hi Cathy! I would start with a classic (Time and Again by Jack Finney), and follow with Kindred by Octavia Butler, Child of Time by Issac Assimov, Doomsday Book by Connie Willis, and 11/22/63 by Stephen King.
I'm all for going back in time; less for going forward though.
Welcome Cathy!Steven made good recommendations, though some might be a bit long. I would add Replay for something a bit lighter.

Hi Cheryl! I did like Replay (which has some funny segments and lots of insights). Also on the lighter side, there's The Mirror.
I see the different places for things posted for this group, but not quite sure where to post or talk about the different or general, Time Travel books we've all read, and would like to comment about them with everyone.
Cathy, if you're ready to talk about a book that has been discussed by the group in the past, you should be able to find the right topic thread by typing the title into the 'search discussion posts' (right side of the screen, well before scrolling). If the title you want to discuss doesn't show up with any results from that search, you can either nominate it for our next group read, or just start a new topic for it.
Steven, 'light' is apparently relative. The Mirror warrants content warnings, imo.
I can see why there could be some content warnings for The Mirror. I did find a lot of humor in many passages, when the grandmother and granddaughter exchanged bodies and times before their weddings. What happens is so crazy and outlandish that the horror, for me, was diminished somewhat.
