I have a magazine and a book on my profile that I did not author, but I am a contributing writer. If it can state that I'm a "contributing writer", then I don't mind them being there. If that is not possible, then they should be removed.

Your role says "Contributor" on those titles. Goodreads does not distinguish which author on a book record gets the most weight, it just lists roles (contributor, foreword, editor, illustrator, etc).

The other writes on the Congo. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... That one sometimes goes by Jason K. Stearns. https://www.sfu.ca/internationalstudi... His Goodreads works have 2 spaces between first and last name to disambiguate him. 2 of this Jason Stearns' books appear both on his Goodreads page and the other Jason Stearns' page. I tried changing the author on those books to Jason K. Stearns, or even to someone completely different, thinking that would unlink them from the wrong author's page, but it didn't. Thanks, Suzi. Is there a lag time in seeing it gone from my profile? Also, for some reason now, I can no longer search for my book, "Back To Bremen" using the search books field. This all began with the addition of the other author's book to my profile.

It does take some time to disappear from your main profile page. However, you will notice immediately that the name no longer says "Goodreads Author" next to it, indicating it is on another profile.
You can also click the link to see all your books to see the change right away.
