Shelby (stang_lee) | 927 comments I have a slightly weird question for job/occupation...would Laird work for L? Yes usually it's an inherited title, but a Laird is still responsible for working for his people and is paid in a tithed/taxed manner by those who work his land. His income generally comes from the prosperity of the land he is in charge of.

Yes, a bit of a strange job, but I will allow it.

Tom works as a first name for that one.

i think the city and name have to appear in the title - so lamb would work but not the other two from previous examples

Chris (chrismd) | 1237 comments Will you accept "bookman" as an occupation - generally defined as someone who deals in books. There are a number of titles that include it, including John Dunning's Cliff Janeway series where Janeway deals in books and "Bookman" appears in all the titles, although I'm particularly interested a different book, The Bookman’s Tale.
Thanks.

I checked with an attorney(my sone) and he told me that there are estate guardians who earn income for their services.

Would three books be acceptable?

Sorry, no. Lamb works, but the other two do not have the word in the book title.

For this book yes, it is clear that it refers to his job

No sorry, the L word must be found in the book's title, e.g. Layla and Rivers of London

I'm not sure. I accept that guardian can be a job, but is that what is referred to by the Guardians in this novel? It's not clear

I've read the book - Guardian refers to a nonprofit innocence project - they're not acting as guardians of anyone.

The guardians are a group of lawyers who take cases of those that they feel are innocent and wronged in the legal system.

Sorry, sounds like guardian is the name of the group, not a reference to their occupation exactly. Can't approve that one

I'm using the letter W and wanted to check on the use of "water" for the food/drink category. Does the title have to contain something like "a drink of water" or "a glass of water" or would something like We Live in Water or Water Witch work?

And, if it doesn't work for drink, would Water Witch work for occupation?

Thanks!

This might be a stretch, but would The Alice Network work for first name? The name Alice is a code name for one of the characters.
