I really loved that part Frances! When Will would not let go of Jim's hand when he was on the merry-go-round. Such great friends..."

I agree totally with what both of you said. I think that theme is the best part of it. My youngest son is close to the age of Will and Jim, so it strikes a chord with me.

I finished today as well. Really glad to have finally read it. I’ve loved all of Ray Bradbury’s books I’ve read so far.

I would definitely be on-board for these as well. Are you thinking after the start of next year?

I remember Jason Robards being in it. I’m going to look it up and try to watch it also.

I can totally see that if I had a son this age. I'm sure you were thinking of him while reading about their adventures and friendship. Awesome!

I'm glad you liked this one too! It's a great book to read this month. Very appropriate with Fall and Halloween.

Me too! I'm so glad we read this. I love his writing. I haven't read a book yet by him that I haven't loved.

Yeah, I would be good with that if you guys are. I can see starting off the new year with a Bradbury book. A good way to start off 2021. Would you be up for The Illustrated Man? I do want to get to Dandelion Wine as well but it's second for me in the reading list.

Are you still up for Usher's Passing? I think I could start it in a few days or by the weekend if you're game? I should finish up one of my current reads (*cough, cough* damn library) before I start something else. LOL!

I’m ready for Usher’s Passing, and the weekend sounds perfect. I can finish up Camelot that way. 😁

Terry | 5364 comments And the Illustrated Man is good for next year also.

Matthew (funkygman007) | 1005 comments Bradbury has another short story collection that looks perfect - and has the perfect title - for the fall: The October Country

Renee (elenarenee) I am trying to remember which book featured a story about an evil baby. I know it was a Bradbury I read it at least 20 years ago. I would like to read it again, It gave me such a creepy feeling. I am curious to see if I react the same today. Does anyone know which book has a story with a scary baby?

I know that is a vague description, It is all I can say without spoilers. On the bright side, I may just have to start reading Bradbury again until I find it. Ohhhh the Agony LOl

Renee and Vickie -
You are correct Vickie! It was The Small Assassin and it's in his collection of stories in The October Country. If you have not read this collection yet, you should. It's really good!!
