My nonfiction book is set in Chile, South America, if we need to switch it to the South America slot.
The title is Deep Down Dark: The Untold Stories of 33 Men Buried in a Chilean Mine, and the Miracle That Set Them Free.

Yay! Looks like we'll have all the bonus point tasks done :-) if it doesn't matter about the other tasks, I'll try to read two more books after the book I am reading right now. My goal was 10, but it looks like I will only get to nine ;-) it has been fun seeing how many books I could possibly read in one week! I am amazed at how many books some of you guys have read!

I'm a little behind with my third book, I am Malala, for the "head/face in the cover" task, but I expect to finish it tonight. From 3 pm on I'm suppose to have plenty of free time to read. Finger crossed!

9 books, Berit? That is wonderful! I know there are people who read even more, but I think most of us are happy with 3, 4 or 5!
I just finished my 5th book! Yay, me! :D
I've started the 6th, but am not sure if I will make it... When I don't spend too much time behind the computer, chatting with you all, I can read a lot tonight. But tomorrow I only have time during breakfast, lunch en about half an hour after my work (I have to work from 9 am till about 5.15 pm - and for me the Toppler ends at 6 pm).
I'll see how far I will get...!

We are doing great! How did you like Vampire Academy? I have wanted to read that for a very long time.. If we need a vampire interaction I can read one for that tonight. I have all night reserved to read. Going to lunch with my mom and my daughter and a little shopping, then coming home and camping out and reading and reading and reading ;-)

I loved it, Berit! So I started part 2 right away (hoping to finish it in time)! I have it from the library (since it is YA, I can borrow it for free on my children's card ;)...) - it is a book with the first 3 parts in it.

How old is your daughter? Mine is a bit too young to enjoy a shopping-afternoon (she will be 6 in a month). My children have now a week holiday. I still have to work, so they will stay at my parents for a few days. My parents are really looking forward to that! They are probably a bit lonely... My sister, who lives in Bolivia; South America, has been staying with them (off and on) for 2 months - they left for Bolivia again 2 weeks ago. She has 4 children, so it was a busy time for my parents - but they enjoyed it a lot!!! And now we all miss them! So my parents need the company of their other 2 grandchildren! ;)
So, on Wednesday, my husband and I will probably go out to diner, just the 2 of us!

My daughter is 17, and is always up for a shopping trip..good to know about the Vampire Academy books, I need to read those. My kids had this week off, they do not go back to school until Tuesday, it has been nice :-) aren't grandparents the absolute best ;-) I am so grateful, My parents live so close to me.

I am done with my ninth and final book :-) I want you all to know I truly enjoyed my very first Toppler, there were a few bumps, but all in all it was a very enjoyable experience. I liked most of the books I read and I think I learned a few things about myself.. Looking forward to participating in many more of these poplars :-) I am curious to see how we ended up doing. I think everyone did an amazing job and everyone helped out the team immensely, thank you.

Not certain about the scoring. I know it's a flat 10 pts per book and 25 pts for the bonus tasks, right?

So the books for Body bonus get counted first as 10 pts for each one completed and then additionally 25 pts since we fulfilled the bonus task?

I think in one of the sections for bonus points you get 30 points for completing all the tasks. I believe it is hobbies, but not 100% sure. I think we did an amazing job! Thanks to all again :-)

Life Among the Savages is hilarious and oh so good!


The Lottery and Other Stories is a great book. The Lottery is a horror story, but it creeps up on you in an unexpected way.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle is a great book. I think you will really enjoy it.

The spreadsheet is right I did read 10 :-) that was my goal and I reached it I didn't realize that, thanksTJ ! I had noticed my reading challenge had jumped 10 books, not quite sure which one I wasn't counting, but that really doesn't matter.

I have worked as a group exercise instructor for the past 20 years, and that does not require me to type or spell, thankfully. It has been a long time since I needed to write a paper for college and I usually paid someone to do that for me. It is amazing how well my kids can't type because of being online and texting all the time. I feel as though there is only room for improvement, right?

LOL :-) in real life I am pretty much the same way I just go for it and things come flying out of my mouth and I'm never quite sure what they might be. My kids say I have a gift to make everyone around me feel comfortable, so I'll take it as a good thing.
