I love me some alliteration! Sounds good to me :-) I'm looking forward to finding out what this toppler entails, I haven't missed an announcement somewhere have I??
Hi Team C. I suppose if it's about mystery dates, we could be the Clandestine Courters. Or we could be the Cryptic Courters. Or the Cryptic Conquerors, if we want to also indicate our intentions to win! :D
Hi everyone! I like the Cryptic Conquerors (since, obviously, we are going for the win).I like yours as well, Tejas Janet!
I like the Cryptic Conquerors - but sorry - feels like something missing to me. What about the Captivating Cryptic Conquerors? Has 3 Cs, and C is the 3rd letter of the alphabet. Seems like good number mojo for Team C.
Hi Paakhi! @team: This is my first toppler, so I'm not sure if we are suppose to start organizing something??? Is there someone with experience here???
Anybody else out there speculating about this toppler? "Mystery date" - could mean reading books from the mystery genre - but topplers are usually broader than this.
Might mean picking books for each other - but that could get sticky, like if you couldn't get a hold of the book(s) selected for you.
OR maybe we'll have dates in time we have to work with and read books relevant to those dates - ?? :)
I have no idea. But I guess it is not all from the mystery genre, since not everyone likes that. Maybe you have to pick dates (like numbers) and it is a mystery what you will be reading - you'll get assigned something?
Maybe something to do with the Mystery Date board game rules? I remember (only because of the advertisement in youtube) that you were suppose to got cards (3 cards?) of a matching outfit before opening the door to find your date. Maybe the books we are going to read have to match in some way?

Hello! :)I am looking forward to this Toppler. This is going to be my second one and I do not have a clue whats it about.
Love the team name

Hi Tanita!
This is my third. I don't have a clue, either. But, like you, I'm looking forward to finding out!
And, you know, Gail is part of our team. She is wonderful with spread sheets and organizing things! (She was on my team in October - we came in 2nd!)
Janice is so creative that there is no way to figure out what she might have planned for us. We just have to hang on and see what is coming! : ) We will have lots of fun trying to work it all out!!

That would be jaxnsmom. :) She designs the Topplers.
Hehe, I can do the spreadsheet again if you like. Do we know the rules yet? I wasn't online yesterday so will have to catch up and see what I missed.
Nope. You'll know when they appear. Probably in a bit over a week.Maybe.
If Jmom feels like it.
Point is, they'll appear when you need them to appear not before.
And yes, please could you do those amazing spreadsheets again?! ;)I just realized we have the number 2 from the October Toppler Top Readers among us: Connie read 17 books in that week! (that doesn' t mean we expect you to read just as many this Toppler, some weeks are better than others, but it would be great ;) ...)
(no, I didn' t remeber what everyone read then, I just saved the statistics Dawn made)
Elsbeth wrote: "(no, I didn' t remeber what everyone read then, I just saved the statistics Dawn made)..."Awesome, I'm glad someone does. I just say them and then forget all about it. :)
Gail wrote: "Hehe, I can do the spreadsheet again if you like. Do we know the rules yet? I wasn't online yesterday so will have to catch up and see what I missed."Yes, Gail, please! Thank you!
Well, I've been peeking at the other teams and apparently we need cheerleaders, to keep up team spirit and help us win! :D

What am I thinking? Of course, I meant to say Jaxnsmom is in charge of the Topplers and keeps us on our toes! I promise I have not been tippling--yet!! ha ha!!
Topplers and tippling always seem to go hand in hand, but I am just having a brain freeze.
Wow, this will be my fifth team toppler! Always very fun : )I generally manage 3 to 6 books in the week-long topplers, but going into a toppler I try to be conservative in committing to how many books I can read. I'm usually comfortable committing to 2 or 3 books initially.
I plan additional books to have ready to read as time allows. That way, I don't over-commit myself - but I am always trying to best my previous toppler contributions. Last team toppler, I completed 6 books, my personal best. Not sure if I can beat that, but I can try!
I've only ever been in one toppler before and I managed to read 6 books. I doubt I will be able to read that many this time, unless I can find really short ones. I was exhausted at the end of the last toppler, and really struggled to get through that last book. I think I will do the same as Tejas Janet, commit to 2 or 3, but have others at the ready.
This is my first toppler so I don't know how many books its prudent to commit reading. It depends on the length of the book. I hope to do at least 2.

Hmmm...find a way to give negative points to Team C. ☺

Awww, Jaxnsmom, surely you won't penalize my team because I am displaying the early stages of Alzheimer's!
We all bow down to your greatness and creativity! No one runs a toppler like you! : )

Wow, I could have written this - only this is my 2nd team toppler and last time I read 5 (my personal record). But like you, I commit to about 3 books and hope to do more...
