Ah ha! I think we had you down for Canada. I'll put it in there for the meantime.

Oop. No we had Janice. But I'll leave that ball in Janice's court. She can be off the hook if we use your book.

I'm halfway finished my Canada book. If we don't have a torso book yet, plug that spot.

message 363: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I was just looking at the spreadsheet, and Anne's book can stay as Canada. We have a torso. And, we can have more than one person reading a task so it doesn't really matter.

I'm not sure if my book (Crow Lake) will fit anywhere else than Canada. It may be a tear jerker, but I'm not sure. It's about a girl whose parents died when she was 9. (Shaking that mentality of needing to cover each task is hard.)

message 364: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments Must get to work. I won't be reading until later in the day. Have a super day everyone.

message 365: by KimeyDiann (new)

KimeyDiann | 2174 comments I only managed a couple of hours for reading yesterday. I'm about 40% into The Enchanted Castle and 50% into Under the Skin. I have to admit that Under the Skin is not at all what I was expecting. I didn't know very much about it going in. I was thinking it was going to be about a female serial killer which sounded fascinating. I did not realize it had a sci-fi element. This book will fit under multiple categories.

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I'm not sure what crafts are exactly. Only things like knitting or painting? Could making fig preserves be considered a craft?

message 367: by Lara (new)

Lara | 1426 comments I've started reading Celebrity in Death, which is a murder mystery and would fit that category.

is it classed as young adult?

i would have said so the craft is cookery i suppose

message 370: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I think the category description is something like "main character does a craft as a hobby." I'm reading a book to cover this category. There are many books about crafters of various sorts, and I think cooking or making preserves could certainly qualify, as long as it is a hobby. If the main character ran a bakery, cooking would be her job and not a hobby.

message 371: by Peggy (new)

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments Thanks! Just figuring out which other tasks my book might fit, in case we need it :)

message 372: by Lara (new)

Lara | 1426 comments I've been doing that too. Even though I may be listed as reading for a certain category, since I'm reading more than planned, I have no trouble if my books get used to fill different categories. I'm trying to list alternates when I post my books in the reporting thread.

message 373: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments It's kind of a game, figuring out how many different categories a book might fit. Is there an updated version of the spread-sheet that shows what has been read? The link I book-marked never changes.

message 374: by Peggy (new)

Peggy's right, there are two sheets. One marked, Planning, and the other, What we have actually read. Or something. I tried to make the Read one appear first, but it doesn't seem to like logic.

I'll go back up and add in the new books.

What tasks do you think they'll plug into, just so I update the sheet.

Updated to here.

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments I was in the supermarket last night and decided to get some yoghurt from the top shelf. As I am a short arse, I had to extend fully, and stand on tip toes. As I grabbed it, I decided I'd pick up the heavy basket with my other hand as I twisted to put the yoghurt in the basket. STUPID STUPID! Argh.

Looks like it wasn't too bad in the end, but Lexx convinced me to take today off as I never take sick days unless I am borderline dead, and to rest it in case. His convincing sentence was, "think how much reading you can get done for your thing!" Boy knows me (and us) too well.

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments I finished my witchy book Witch Week.

I was thinking I could read Succubus Blues for a sexy book. But I am also thinking seeing I'm home today unplanned I could knock out a quick read. Maybe I'll try The Fault in Our Stars. Looks nicely spaced out to be a quick YA read (or tear jerker. Do you think we have to cry to get those points? I'm not really a crier in books).

Anne (Booklady) Molinarolo (wwwgoodreadscomAnneMolinarolo) | 1282 comments Rus,

Almost done with The Bungalow by Sarah Jio .

It can be used:

Hobbies - Reading since Sarah Jio is a new to me author.

Barbie and Ken - it is Chick Lit

Island - set in Bora, Bora

WWII - war affects main characters

Also a question

Should I still read: Path of the Assassin for shooting

AND

Blood Safari for set in Africa?

Or should I switch them out for

The Sweetgum Ladies Knit for Love Hobbies - craft is knitting

A Dog's Purpose - animal for Mickey and Minnie?

I'll do anything to help our Divas =)

My eyes are droopy, so

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Nice work. I'll put The Bungalow in Chick Lit for the moment.

Otherwise, like we said, read what you feel like. At the moment we have Casceil and Lisa finishing up the last books for the bonus points, but can always switch people in if we need.

So whatever takes your fancy! Sleep well.
