Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I think we submit as a team - just one combined date. I could be wrong, I'm a little distracted this weekend. I don't know how ppl strictly use their phone or tablet. I'm on my tablet using the full site but it's still a pain in the derrière. It will be nice to get home to my laptop tonight.

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I think jmom said we could make as many dates as possible, but all in a different thread. Or perhaps one thread per team.

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments Oh, and don't worry Megan! Hope you're feeling better now :)

Submit three, I think.

Casceil | 2728 comments Another possible torso: The Sweet Spot (Sweet on a Cowboy, #1) by Laura Drake

It seems to me that Me & Emma by Elizabeth Flock might work for eyes or head.

Lisa (lisathebooklover) | 9244 comments No worries at all Megan. You can't help being sick. I hope you get better soon! :)

I quite like this combination too, plus whatever cover we have for 'eyes'.

message 559: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments Adding eyes and shoes give us
Jackaby by William Ritter
Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie
Crux (Southern Arcana, #1) by Moira Rogers or Never Deal with Dragons (Never Deal with Dragons, #1) by Lorenda Christensen
Surfacing by Margaret Atwood or Thursday Night Widows by Claudia Piñeiro and
Mischief in Mudbug (Ghost-in-Law, #2) by Jana Deleon or Murder on the Rocks (Gray Whale Inn Mystery, #1) by Karen MacInerney

Casceil | 2728 comments I'm inclined toward combining everything on the left for one choice. Since we get three, I would also swap in the male torso (which is very nice, and makes an interesting and ridiculous combination with flowered high heels) for choice two.

message 561: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisathebooklover) | 9244 comments I agree Casceil, that torso is quite something! ;) Combine it with those heels and we could well be onto a winner. The combination on the left works well too.

message 562: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I feel bad that I'm not helping with this. I'm on my phone just checking in. I have another 3 hours to drive before I'm home.

message 563: by Peggy (new)

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I like the left side too :)

haha. yes, I think that would be a winner! ;)

message 565: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I like the left side with the right side torso as well.

I can finally see the covers in a larger size, and manoeuver more quickly. You've all done a great job creating our date.

Thanks team, for all your hard reading. And a special thanks to Rusalka for tracking our reads. I really like the way you set up the spreadsheet.

KimeyDiann | 2174 comments Hello all! Sorry I didn't check in over the weekend, I was on the go the entire time. I did manage to finish The Handmaid's Tale Saturday morning! It was an extremely interesting book. The writing style took a little bit to get used to because the narrator seems to ramble on in a few places. I definitely understand why The Handmaid's Tale is listed on so many lists of books that everyone needs to read.

I haven't had a chance to look through the other toppler threads, but from what I gather reading through this one, we need to make multiple body combinations. Under the Skin by Michel Faber is the only book I read that had a body cover, it should work for eyes or head.

message 567: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I submitted two sets of covers last night with what we discussed above. We are allowed three, so if anyone wants to put together a set with "Under the Skin" for eyes, we still can. It might be an interesting variation. Thoughts?

message 568: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments What if we swapped out Jackaby's head with Under the Skin by Michel Faber and retained the remaining body parts on the left side mgs 562? We'd have a female date as well as a male date.

message 569: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I like Janice's idea. Can we write something about our mystery date? With the glasses, this head looks like the person is a reader, which would make them sexier, right?

message 570: by Marie (UK) (new)

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 2277 comments the bonus ideas sound good - sorry i have not checked in hurt my back at the weekend cannot sit for long

message 572: by Casceil (last edited Feb 16, 2015 10:38AM) (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I would like to get feedback from a few more people before I post a third entry, since it is our last shot. I do think it would be good if we could say something about her. Maybe along the lines of "our third candidate reads a lot. She is relaxed and casual, and of course clever. She owns some high heels, but she doesn't so much wear them as let her pet frog play in them." Any one have any more ideas?

message 573: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I like that idea Casceil. You could say that she's waiting for her toad to turn into her prince.

message 574: by Lara (new)

Lara | 1426 comments I'm comfortable with that idea too.

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Me too!

I'll go update the spreadsheet Kimey

Tasha I'm happy with what I saw posted over in the other thread. Thank you so much for getting it together guys!

Tasha We did well! Second is awesome. :)

message 578: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I thought we came in third? We still did an awesome job, of course.
