I've moved several times in the past few years so I got rid of many physical copies of books along with a lot of other household items. I can't even remember the last time I read a physical copy of a book. I don't even use my kindles anymore, strictly read on my phone these days.

I want to say thank you to my SS and to the others who have gifted me with a book. This year has been up and down for me I beat cancer during a pandemic its was funny when I think about it. This exchange was one of the highlights of the season for me. Happy Holidays❄⛄

I've noticed a lot of banter between people and massive book haul trends among said people in the goodies section and wondered if everyone knows each other from another group or just have been active in the gift exchange for several years? I'd love to get to know everyone aside from once a year because everyone has been so nice and the comments have made me laugh out loud for real many times. I have enjoyed all of it immensly and its made the holidays brighter. I don't get to see my tight-knit family at all this Christmas and with finances being tight us adults aren't exchanging gifts so giving a recieving some much wanted books has meant so much to me and made the season brighter. Thank you so much Heather for including me, it really meant A LOT to participate 💜💜💜

Some of us have met IRL at conferences or meetups and some have just been doing the gift exchange for a while.
We all love to chat books so I'm sure most people here, like me, would welcome new friends on GR as a result of the exchange!

We then commemt on those and suddenly you feel luke you meet someone every week.
And you can join a group you like. I joined MM Romance and Gay Fiction group.

So happy you joined us! Yes, what Debra said, many of us have been friends for years and have similar reading interests. I mostly invite my friends to the exchange, and I read mostly M/M romance, so my friends read similar books. But we are always excited to make new friends!

Awww I missed this this year. My kids aren’t even having a Christmas. I have covid and just stopped bleeding from my miscarriage so I’m doing bad. Ugh

Hold on, girl! This year is almost over!
I'd just like to say thank you to whoever wished for/gifted Prince of Air and Darkness (I'm too lazy to scroll back through the gift list). It was not on my radar at all and holy crap I loved them! I burned right through that series and then leaped on over to the Big Bad Wolf series and I'm pretty pleased to have found both. I was tenuously aware of BBW before, but wasn't quite sold on it/wasn't in the mood to commit to a series initially.
Only 97 days to go and it is December. I can't wait until the next gift exchange. Some of you I only see on this topic.
I hope everybody is having a good book year and making up new elf names.
