♑2. Read a book published in one of the Chinese Zodiac years of your sign.
The Mad Ship (1999, Year of the Rabbit)

I personally believe that no other fantasy author comes even close to Robin Hobb! The characters are so engaging and magical, their struggles so real, the landscapes so vivid, and the various threads of the storyline--sentient "liveships," a slumbering dragon, political intrigue, a ruler manipulated by pleasure hers, pirates who punish slaveships, and -at its core- a girl/woman who turns her back on traditional womanhood to pursue her dreams of life at sea.
5 glorious stars, and I can't wait to read Book 3 of this trilogy next month!

Progress: 7/8
Thank you for the encouragement, Trisha! I do believe I will successfully complete this challenge by November end! :D

A historical fiction (#wit) set in 1640s Holland about a young girl raised in a small village where she helps with farming and tending the livestock on her family farm (agriculture).
Eventually, she ends up in Delft, painting blue-and-white decorative ceramics for luxury consumers (wealth) during the heady, affluent days of the Dutch Golden Age.
