A former Special Boat Service operative turned security consultant and military thriller novelist, "Duncan Falconer" concludes his four year hiatus with an upcoming film based on his first book. Click on the attached link for a rare interview he conducted with the fan page of Henry Cavill, the actor who will play the main lead. He goes over his thoughts on how his career has changed and reflects on his life. https://henrycavillworld.wordpress.co...

Nick Brett | 141 comments Interesting, especially about the films he wrote under different names! I've read all of his books and enjoyed most of them....be good to see a new one

Indeed. One of the few military thriller writers who isn't from the "Special Authors Service" :) and gives a different perspective of things.
Now that the ball is rolling with his film, and that he's finished a very special job in Iraq, he probably has a bit more time on his hands to restart the Stratton series from where it paused.

UPDATE: Henry Cavill dropped out on the day filming began. Arguments over the script is the stated reason. He's been replaced by Dominic Cooper.

Looks okay if not outstanding. Cooper is probably a better lead than Cavill, SBS/SAS tend to be shorter more unobtrusive types. Trailer reminded me of that Ross Kemp SAS Tv series, can't imagine it gas had a lot of money spent on it, but I'll probably still go and see it....
