I bought it thinking I would read it for SH sometime this summer but I'm pretty sure I won't like it, so I've been trying to avoid it lol.

Gustaf | 1936 comments Completion Post - Task 7
Book: Special Delivery
Author: Heidi Cullinan
Pages: 290/GR
How it fits: First published in 2010
Date completed: 2020/09/28
Rating/Review: 5 stars

I read this book for the first time about two years ago and I really, really liked it. It was even better the second time around though.

Heidi Cullinan writes amazing book and extremely hot sex and I've been here for it in every book I've read by her. This one though. It's so very hot. I can't even...

The way Sam and Mitch got together and figured each other out was just perfect. It was slow and rocky but you always knew that they got each others back. Of course Randy creeped me out the first time I read this but having read the rest of the series I saw him in a different light this time around.

5 really hot stars.

Book: Zero at the Bone

I went in to this book being sure I wouldn’t like it. I only picked it up because it fit a reading challenge I’m doing and I own the audio for some reason. Let’s be honest, these type of books usually doesn’t work for me. I’m not a fan of gore or the men in my books being in violent situations. Imagine my surprise when I ended up really liking this book.
I stayed up well past my bed time listening to this because I just had to know what happened next.

Sure, there’s a lot of violence going on. And blood. Oh my, there’s some bloody scenes. Yuck, I don’t deal well with blood. Not even reading about it. But underneath all of that is a beautiful love story about two men meeting each other under the worst of circumstances yet being utterly perfect for each other. Two men helping each other being their better selves. Bringing out the absolute best in each other. And that, I was there for. The character development in this book is absolutely incredible and yet after all of that development they are still so very... them.

There were some weird point of view changes, probably made harder to follow because of the audio. That made me have to go back at times, but that and the blood are about all I can think of that I didn’t enjoy.

I’ll be thinking about Jack and D for a very, very long time and going to try my hardest to get a hold of those short stories.

I probably signed up way too many challenges and buddy reads lately, but i am weak. I didn't consider how much time work takes up of my reading time🀣

Task: 7-published in 2000-2010
Book:Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs
Page count: 298
How it qualifies: published in 2007
Rating: 5
Read: 9/28/20
Review:
I loved getting to know the mercy that was not as sure of herself again. In this book she is trying to balance Adam and Samuel Cornick (sort of Werewolf prince as his father is the leader) Adam and Samuel both want Mercy and Mercy doesn't really want either. I will admit the griping got on my nerve. Samuel was suppose to be close to or over 1000 years old and he was acting like a spoiled child.

Task: 7- published 2000-2010
Book: Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs
Blood Bound (Mercy Thompson, #2) by Patricia Briggs
Page count: 335
How it qualifies: published in 2007
Rating: 4
Review:
I learned maybe it is best not to go back and read a beloved series from the beginning if you have not re-read them in years! Holy cow Adam was so dislikable. Samuel was a teenwolf not a grown ass wolf. Woe is me. Mercy don't want me. I did like the snark but the humor is lacking in this book.

I'm a bit scared honestly. I've written the whole thing and now other people are going to do their thing with what I've written...
Anyway, I managed to read fast at the same time I wrote the thing so it probably won't even show.
