What a delightful book. I love Max and his his bestie Dooley. I enjoyed how they solve the mystery with the human that can understand them. Odelia is such a cute character.

Beware, my Goodreads feed, Christmas is upon us and this guy is obsessed with everything Christmas.
This was a great fluffy read. It's relatively short and while there wasn't a lot character development both Ben and Jason had know each other for a very long time so I figured it was okay. I really enjoyed the pain free take on the best friends brother trope. There's about zero angst in this one, exactly what I needed.
I almost want to get a cat after reading this, but don't tell my husband. He'll freak out.

I don't really know what to say about this one. It didn't work for me and if I wasn't reading it for a challenge I probably would've DNF:ed it pretty early. Something just didn't work for me. The pacing was a bit off. The point of view changes felt a bit weird and the relationship between the MC's felt forced. Everything was just so... grey. I don't know how to explain it properly. Even the happier moments didn't really feel happy. Thank god it's short.
I should be done with my second book tonight :)

It was nice, too nice in fact for me. I need something nasty these days, and it's definitely not nasty ^^ I liked the blurb and the book is fine. I like thoe storyline, the dog, the two MCs are sweet. But I need more than that in my books, and NR Walker do not have what I like (and there's so much thinking!!!). And I'm definitely not a cheesy book person, I think. Maybe once or twice a year is enough. Please, make the next cat something else than suger!

Best Man was a really great addition to Lily Morton's catalogue. However, I might have a little too high standards for her book. I'm expecting to be blow away by her work and while I really liked this book, I wasn't blown away.
With that said, I'm a sucker for fake boyfriends. And age gap. And England. So there was a lot for me to really like about this book.
Jesse is young and vibrant. Zeb a bit older and in need of having control. Yet, he makes a promise to his ex to be his best man at said ex wedding. He asks Jesse to come with him to the wedding as his fake boyfriend. The rest is a classic fake boyfriend story. Except it's not. Zeb is also Jesse's boss. Uh, trouble.
There's a ton of great secondary characters in this book. I can't wait to read their stories. There's also a few I would rather forget about. I'm looking at you Patrick.

I don't know what to say about this one really.
It took me the longest time getting into this book. When I finally did I only stayed "in" for a little while.
There's nothing wrong with this book per se, it's well written, well researched, well everything. It just didn't grabbed me.
At times I wanted to shake some sense into Cal. His whole act of looking down at himself and talking himself out of being with Teo over and over and over and over again really annoyed me.

So here's the thing. I believe that you might have to be some kind of gamer to actually enjoy this. If not, it might become boring. There's a lot of gaming on page. A lot of talk about gaming. A lot of gaming terms. You get it. I absolutely loved it though.
Finn and Ryker had so much chemistry. Especially in the beginning when they were communicating through text and sort of hated each other. The sex was so hot, and there's a lot of sex. Sure there was a lot of drama, but it made sense. The gaming community is very dramatic.
I couldn't put this book down. Even if I tried to. Sadly no other books seem to have been released.
Lol of course ptp has animal cover task straight after done here. Well i guess lucky i kept the boy next door till this one, so shall cover it still 😂

Sorry took me so long. I am having trouble reading right now. I did finally finish this book. I have not even really started to read the buddy read. I started and got to Benny. I know as I have read so many books that Benny is a sacrificial Lamb. I just could not go on. I am waiting till everyone is done. If I am wrong and Benny survives I will read it otherwise I just can't right now.
No problem Wende. Im glad the book was good, sorry to hear struggling with reading at moment though. Hope all is well and yeah, i've skipped the buddy read for now just not in the mood for it but will be interested to see what everyone thinks. I completely understand with waiting i would too, id be checking reviews straight away.

I did that because I have so many other books I need to read and I think it's good because I can already tell that it won't be an easy read.
