MountainKat | 31598 comments Hi all, I'm going to assign your next task now and send Emeli a message eliminating her. It is unfair that you are being kept in the dark and waiting for her.

Going forward, you will be a team of 3 and I will adjust tasks accordingly.

MountainKat | 31598 comments Here is Task 6:

37. Read 6 5 books set in the US.

To qualify for this task, your selected books need to be set in the US. The qualification can come from the book details, title, series, precis, tags or lists. Remember to let me know how you know the books qualify - simply saying 'set in the US' is not enough! I need to know where to look to confirm your books. Include the setting and any other information or links as necessary in your completion posts.

I had loved the Hollywood movie "Twister" and was looking forward to this book. Erin Mclellan's stories were a hit for me before but this story wasnt upto that level. Also it wasn't as action packed as I expected. The attraction between MCs was sort of an instalove, which didnt do much for me

Exciting

I’m really liking this series!!! It’s got everything, humour, action, suspense, family, and love. It reminds me of Hailey Turner’s Soulbound series but is different enough to not be a copy (I’m not sure which came first either way) so if you liked that, you’ll like this!

Laks | 1953 comments I am changing my next book. Kamikaze boys is too depressing and anxiety inducing for me right now. Am at about 60 % and looks like the boys are on a self destructive path. I will finish the book later when I am not already stressed from work.

Action and monsters:
I loved this book and this series! Complex characters, frightening monsters, ties that bind, evil enemies, and stalwart friends all make this an excellent series.

This series will not disappoint you. Here we have a murder mystery with good MCs. Enjoyed Nevin and Colin's story, especially the hotshot Nevin with the quick temper.

Recommended series.

Just out of curiousity - your book qualifies, but is it set in Portland, Oregon or Portland, Maine? Never been to Maine, but Portland, Oregon is a fun city!

MountainKat | 31598 comments Here is Task 7:

12. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.

You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 books on it. Please include who recommended the book for you in your completion post.

Laks | 1953 comments For our task 7, Can I suggest each of us have a shelf ,so we have different choices? This is my
Recommendation shelf

There are 40 books in here.

message 184: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 1064 comments I think the shelf is for people to pick a recommendation from. So I would look at your shelf and pick a book for you to read from there. Why don't we go in alphabetical:

Laks pick for Madelyn
Madelyn pick for me
I pick for Laks

this is my shelf

but if there is something you'd love me to read that's not on that list but on KU or I own, I'd welcome a new choice.

message 185: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 1064 comments Laks, if you want to give me a shelf, I'll pick from it but otherwise, I think you should read The Capital

A little slow to start, though the prose was nice. It reminded me of a play in its self with a climactic end.

OMG! I stayed up way past bedtime to read this, couldnt put it down. I love magic and mages; this one is right up my alley. Though I am thankful I didnt read it before, because we are all left hanging at the ending.. the cliff is tooo much. And now all three books of the trilogy is out and I can read them as soon as I get a bit of sleep. Great !

The only complaint is that the book is too short, could have been more fleshed out like the Captive prince series.
