Review:
I really enjoyed this book.
The story about how Mikayla looses everything in a day, her family, boyfriend and best friend and how she comes through this with the help and love of Jake.
The book pretty much everything a good romance should. The reason it was not a 5 star read for me was part of it was to unrealistic. That no other of her old friends ever rallied around Mikayla when family died was unbelievable to me, also that She at 18 was allowed to move in with a family she never had meet before did not seem as it would happen in real life.
But the love story was really wonderful, looking forward to read Logan’s book
I'll finish my book up today and posting when I get off work in the morning.

Also a serial killer is sucking the life from mortal victims. Into this mess comes Dr. Vivien Cairn forensic anthropologist, sought out by the sorcerers to investigate the bones found in a collection of gris-gris bags. One sorcerer, Dain feels a dark pull from her and determines to keep her under watch. Vivien is strongly drawn to him but also feels she is going mad as chunks for her time seem to disappear. These two must figure out how to save the world and what is happening to Vivien. An action packed by gory story; a solid end to the series.

Review: I really wanted to like this book more than I did. I'm almost feeling guilty about the 3.5 stars because Ilona Andrews! I love them. I love their Kate Daniels books. I love their Hidden Legacy books. I really liked the first two books in the Edge series. This one had issues though. The romance between Kaldar and Audrey felt off. I couldn't see how they fell in love other than Audrey perfectly complimented Kaldar's stealthy stealing self and Audrey thought Kaldar was sexy. Another issue I had was the abrupt ending. The big conclusion wasn't quite big enough and a major fighting scene where Audrey came to the rescue happened mostly off page.
Despite the romance falling quite short and the abrupt ending I loved the inclusion of George and Jack in this book. They are growing up into great characters and I'm hoping they will get to heroes in their own books some time down the line.
I sent Shandrea a message yesterday when notifications weren't working to let her know we had finished our reads.

Notifications were turned off for all of GR, if you had checked in you would have noticed discussions about that. In team challenges, it is important to be proactive and keep in touch. I don't mean to sound harsh, but communication is key when working in a team. 😊Because I was checking the team thread and had decided on a course of action already after getting Linda's message, I'm going to go ahead with my plans. I will assign the next task now. Shandrea is free to complete her book in the next day or two and post her completion or use her pass for this task - her choice. At least this gets you all moving again!

The book I am reading now and will finish today doesn't have an audio version but next is Sapphire Flames which does, so that will be my book. It has 359 pages for the first Kindle edition.
Since I listen to most my books, this is nice taskI will start with Lies & Lullabies since I am listening to that for another challenge (278 pages)

I very much liked them but had to look at them as more spin off books set in the same world/family as the first books only because Catalina is a completely different person than Nevada. I love the world building in the Hidden Legacy books as much as I do the Kate Daniels books by the Ilona Andrews team.

I just love the style, action and heroines. And they have a great imagination for all the creatures, good and bad.
Ok, so sorry. I coach 3rd and 4th grade volleyball and we had our first tournament yesterday and I couldn’t believe how tired I was afterward. But I finished my book last night and I’m posting my completion now. I have all day to read today and I’m ready to bust out the next task.

Review: This book is all about Catalina and set 3 years after the last book. She has gone from 18 to 21 and undergone a lot of training by Rogan's mother, Arrosa, building her experience and confidence. Nevada is now part of Rogan's House and Catalina is Head of House Baylor which is coming out of guardianship and open to attack by established Houses. When a friend of hers, Runa, and her brother Ragnar are burned out of their House with her mother and sister dead, they ask Catalina's Investigation Agency to look into it. Links to Diatheke, Inc open up secrets and make them a target. The investigation brings Allessandro Segredo, Italian playboy and Cat's teenage crush into their lives. He also is after Diatheke on a case and they reluctantly work together. Things revealed test everyone's strength and change the dynamics of the House forever. Very exciting start to Catalina's trilogy. Looking forward to the next one.

Review: I loved this book. Christopher Argent is a wonderful tortured hero. The suspense of who was trying to harm Millie and her son Jacob was top notch and it was lovely seeing Farah and Dorian again. Kerrigan Byrne has created a sensual, dark, and intriguing historical romance series with 2 winners back to back. I can't wait to start the third book...it's about one of Dorian's half brothers. If you like historical romances think about picking up The Highwayman or this one but reading them in order is always better :-)

Review: This is the first book in a 3 book series where each book tells one band members love story. Each book is written by a different author.
This first book is by Sarina Bowen, that I know mostly for her hockey romances
This is a classic secret baby book. Kira and Jonas spends a summer becoming good friends and ending more. She has no idea that he is a rock star and finds out much later. She became pregnant from their one night of love but never tells him, until they meet years later.
I liked the writing and the story, but parts of it did just not work for me so therefore it ended up as a very average read

Review: Major Grant Barrett is called home from Afghanistan when his brother, Lee, and sister-in-law, Kate, are murdered. His 6 year old nephew, Carson, and four month old niece, Faith, need care and Grant needs to find out what happened to their parents. Next door Ellie lives with her grandmother and 15 year old daughter, Julia. They were close to the Barretts and Ellie worked at the law firm with Lee. It soon becomes evident that a case Lee was working on may be the reason for the murder. This was a good mix or mystery and suspense with a slow developing romance. Well done.

Review: I liked this book a lot but wish she would have confided in Theo. I understand why Jules didn't but I'm a little tired of the keeping secret trope after just finishing another book with the same trope. The positives, however, super cute siblings, hot cops, and a K9 cop too!

Review: l usually do not like books set in the future, but somehow I am drawn into this series, probably since the crime and personal story of the characters plays a larger role than the setting in the future.
In this book we get introduced to some of the side characters in this series Mavis the best friend and Peabody the assistant (I have been reading this series out of order and therefore know this characters from some of the later books) so it is great to get to know them better.
It was pretty easy to solve the murder in this one, but was still an entertaining read and not my last in death book

I absolutely loved this book. It caught me by surprise and really hit me in the feels. Best book that I have read in a while.

I really enjoy her (their) writing and I've read some of their books, I just hadn't made it to this book yet. So when I seen it on your list, I was thinking "YES!".
