Review: This series just continues to completely kill it! It’s the perfect amount of fluffy fun with always just a dash of conflict, enough to keep you interested, but not enough to add any unnecessary angst. Dustin and Leo were just so perfect together. They went through so much personal growth and exploration on their journey to love and I just incredibly enjoyed being along for the ride.

Review: I’m smitten with Russell’s mythmatched universe so I was so glad to get to read a copy of this book. I will say, while this can totally be read as a stand-alone, you will get more enjoyment out of it if you’ve read the previous books in the universe (The Fae out of Water trilogy, the Supernatural Selections trilogy, and Howling on Hold). Here we have Ky and Ewan, whom you can tell are SO into each other from the very beginning, but each have their own reasons for holding a part of themselves back. Because of this, we get not only an exploration of their unfolding romance, but also we get to watch them realize that the obstacles they’ve placed on themselves are completely unnecessary. It was cute and charming, with an added dose of danger, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Review: This book was so good! Wonderful worldbuilding, an incredibly interesting magical system, and a huge cast of compelling characters. I was sold from the very beginning. Unfortunately some reviews I’ve read from the second book make me wary of it, so even though this doesn’t even end in an HFN, I’m not rushing out to read the second book

I didn't get far today, I took my daughter shopping and definitely couldn't listen to any audiobooks while she was in the car 😉. I'll have time tomorrow, but definitely won't be done till the afternoon with mine. So yes please Amanda, if you have time!!!

Ah, I love the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries Series and this spin-off series!
As expected, this part had some sad moments, drama and angst. It's the love story of two broken men, widower and psychic Emory Jackson and former black ops specialist Jonathon Silver. And while the way they fell in love, or rather just knew that they'd love each other before they really knew each other, might not be everyone's thing, I really loved it. It was all about Emory accepting that there could be another love besides the one for his late husband. I think the author did a great job by splitting the book into the three parts - Denial/ Acceptance/ Embrace.

Overall the story never got too dark, instead was lightened up here and there with some humor, snark and of course some Josh moments. ;)

I was a broken widower, and he was the mysterious man who’d witnessed the worst in humanity too many times to count. We were broken men with jagged edges that could cut a person deep if they were foolish enough to venture too close, but, somehow, we aligned perfectly to form something whole and beautiful.

Well this certainly made me smile ..and laugh..and cry. It had all the emotions and it was soooo good .
I'd forgotten how much i loved these two and i also live Rains parents to bits , they remind me of Barbara Striesand & Dustin Hoffman in Meet The Fockers 😄😄😄
It had a few tense & scary moments and theres a bit of a cliffy at the end , but overrall and excellent addition to the series

94. Read 6 books published in sequential years, teams decide years.

For this task, use the initial publication date. If there is a initial publication date listed on the editions page use that, otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition. Books selected need to be initially published in sequential years with no years skipped, for example 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

I enjoyed A Friend in the Dark but I've never read Poe before. I am vary familiar though with Gregory Ashe. The thing about his stories is that he starts them out kinda slow, so the first in each of his series is never the best book in the series. They build and build, and he crafts amazing relationships between his characters - usually there are fantastic side characters too, and always an amazing mystery. There's usually one huge mystery that spans the series and then a unique side mystery per each book.
