SOLVED: Children's/YA > SOLVED. YA Fantasy. It could have been called something like ember but i cant remember. They are looking for the phoenix of the ashes or the firebird or something and the main character is a winged creature that loves books. [s]

Hannah | 44 comments So it starts off with this girl in a library and she has a specific name and it might be what the book is called. She isn't actually a human but a faerie with wings. She lives in this little tiny cozy room in new York library and this other creature visits her and sprinkles dust or something that creates a portal to the faerie world. She then has to set out with some of her friends on a mission to find the phoenix of the ashes and i remember she goes to this japanese cafe or somewhere that has a huge cherry blossom tree. She falls in love with someone also on the mission. The faerie country she is from is at war with another faerie country i think and so they are being followed by creatures from this other place. I remember that they find the witch person who gives them something that allows her to become the phoenix of the ashes.

Hannah, what's the genre (which we need to add to the topic header) - e.g., adult or YA [teen] fantasy romance? How old are the main characters?

Is the heroine's romantic interest a male human or faerie?

Glad you found your book, Hannah. I added the genre "YA [teen] fantasy" to the topic header/title.
