I don't remember very much about this. I want to say it was set in approximately early 1900s? It was probably written in the mid-1900s or so, though. It had that pleasant old-fashioned feel. I read it about 10-12 years ago, I'd say. Lots of seasonal details, set in America (PRETTY sure... but if not it would be set in England, but again I'm almost positive it was America.)
This was part of a series of books about a girl growing up. I am almost positive her name was Letitia and that is all I can remember. She aged throughout the series. She had a pretty big family, lots of aunts and sisters and so on. It was that sort of middle age book for girls, with budding romance and so on. But plenty of things about school. I think she was a good student possibly and trying to go to college? I think in one of the books her mother has another baby also.
