We were given Bobbie’s point of view throughout the story. Was it helpful and what did you learn about her early on?

[Anita]

I learned from her point of view that she was nuts and very dangerous, and everyone was terrified of her.

[Jonetta]

Having her point of view made a huge difference! Made her scarier because she had a very twisted mind and way of reasoning, if you can call it that.

What I learned pretty quickly was that she definitely was a sociopath and the people in that town had every reason to be fearful of her. She was powerful and had an agenda.

We got a sense that this woman was very dangerous. She had no loyalty to her own people and would kill anyone who got in her way.

This woman was nuts! And really dangerous.

I loved that part. It gave the reader an inside look at Bobbie's thought process. It did make her even scarier.
