I posted it in the Books & Reading section a while ago.

Nina | 6069 comments One more "odd" happening or coincedence. My father had an antique schoolhouse clock in their kitchen that only he wound. When he died and my mother went to a nursing facility we moved his clock to our home and I could never bring myself to wind it. Many years later we moved and the clock went along with us. After three more years we moved again and the night before the movers were to come my husband thought we should move the clock ourselves which we did. We took it to our new home and he sat in on the mantle. We sat for a few minutes before retuning to our condo. Then just before leaving I said, "What's that noise?" It was the clock. It started running. I thought my father must have liked where it sat. Our newest home was much like the house where he had the clock. That was strange but after that my husband did wind the clock and kept it running until a couple of years later I went to Europe to visit a daughter and he didn't bother to wind it. A month later all our "children" came home and were together at Thanksgiving dinner for the first time in a lot of years. As we sat there after saying Grace my husband asked me, "Did you wind the clock?" I answered I hadn't ever wound the clock. He said, " I haven't wound it for the month you were gone and it's running and it's right on the correcttime." The kids decided Grandpa was among us and had started the clock. I know no other explanation. nina

Jackie (thelastwolf) | 4050 comments Next book sale is set for February 4th, if anyone is interested in attending. I plan on going. Not so early this time, it's too cold to stand on line.

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments Thanks, Jackie. I doubt if I'll go the book sale, but I will try to donate some books.
