i read this last year, i doubt it could be published before the 21st century. it's a ya novel about a drug that gives you an amazing high and effectively it's the best week of your life, but also the last week. it starts with a famous rockstar dying at his concert after taking the pill. at some point, the main character pretends to take the pill to scare the girl that's with him. i can't remember anything else because i never got the chance to finish that book. thank you so much.
