Sky | 1291 comments Things are starting to coalesce - Adare somehow came through as Intarra's second prophet, with the both the Army of the Son's of Light behind her as well as the Atmani Roshin and Roshinara.

Valyn's wing has united with the Urghul army.

We have yet to see if Kaden escapes the Ishien and if he brings the Csestriim and Triste with him. Still not sure what Triste is - seems like if she is Csestriim she isn't fully aware of it. The Csestriim like to experiment on humans (they created the atmani) so I still wonder if she is an experiment or Nevariim. The Nevariim are mentioned but so far have not been featured in any major plot thus far.

I wonder if Il Tornja is really Csestriim. Certainly he is devious but we don't know much about him, what drives him, what his capabilities are beyond his rapid rise through the ranks. Is Il Tornja the figure behind everything or is there someone behind him pulling the strings?

Sky | 1291 comments I also still wonder if Lehav could be Csestriim. Nira seemed to think he wasn't the Csestriim she was looking for, but so far in the book he has shown a complete lack of emotion - for instance, when Adare was about to be robbed, he didn't really care what happened to her one way or the other.

Sky Corbelli | 288 comments Hmmm... Other Sky, reading what you said here got me thinking, and now I have a theory about the Csestriim who created the Atmani... but you'll have to get to the next section to hear it.

Tammy I have to say I am not sure who to believe about what! Adare just nicely gets to the palace and with a little letter from Il Torjna she is off to the north. The Urughal say they have been friends with Sunlatin all this time and had a peace agreement.

Kaden is trusting Triste and Kiel even though he is supposed to be Csestriim, but doesn't seem so bad. I have a feeling that nothing is as it seems.

Bill | 1596 comments That was my favorite section so far in either book. i don't think Il Tornja will end up being Csestriim. Staveley seems to like guiding you into one direction before going another way with his reveals. I don't think the Csestriim will end up being someone in power but hiding behind it. Nari said the Csestriim made the Atmani to rule so it seems like they want to use pawns. I can't really think of who would fit in terms of characters we already know.

Also the whole thing with Adare hiding her eyes made me think of Adiv. Do we know why he wore his blindfold?

Tammy I would like to learn more about Adiv as well. What is the deal with that guy!?

I dont get Adare's storyline at all. She does a bunch of dumb stuff and luck's into getting what she wants anyways?

I'm wondering if the old lasy (forget her name) is the one who did the lightning. Though she said she hasn't done magic in a thousand year, so would she break that for Adare?

There are a lot of myseries about several of the characters I'm hoping we get more answers to by the end.

And Bill I thought Adiv wore a blindfold because he's blind.

Suzanne | 1582 comments I don't think it was ever explicitly stated that Adiv is blind, but that is a logical assumption. I'm pretty sure people did wonder like if his eyes were missing or if there was something horrific under the bandages.
