Thanks for the update, Jennifer!I'll read the Sparrow in Terezin with you for August. I saw on another thread that you'll be reading A Life Once Dreamed with someone else in September, so I think I'll read that one in September when both of you read it. :-)
I saw that Sparrow in Terezin is book #2 in a series. Do I need to read book 1 first to understand book 2?

Anyway, that will be so much fun for you to join us on A Life Once Dreamed in September! (I'm not really sure why i have two threads going, honestly. I think my Kindle tablet must've glitched and posted it twice...)
Yes, it is book 2 in the Hidden Masterpiece Collection. The Butterfly and the Violin is book 1. I actually just finished it last night! I read on the Popular Asked Questions part of The Sparrow's page that it seems most people recommend reading The Violin first to get a deeper understanding of the characters, but it isn't absolutely necessary in order to understand the plot. So really, it's up to you! If you'd like to contiue with our plan to read The Sparrow this month, I'd be glad to, but if you'd rather read The Violin first, I totally understand and am totally willing to postpone our buddy read until you are ready! 😊

Hi, Jennifer! Thanks for your patience and understanding! Okay, that sounds like a good plan. I read the first chapter of the first book and it's pretty interesting so far. :-)

I just opened this post and looking forward to joining you both in the buddy read. I just checked out Book 1 on ebook audio from the library, along with Book 2, A Sparrow in Terezin. I shall start reading by tomorrow as I am concluding a Tracie Peterson book today. I tend to read audio books at a faster pace as I can listen while I work. I will check back for any status updates👍🏻

Charmaine, I was just wondering how The Butterfly and the Violin is coming along for you? It's totally okay if you're still reading it, I was just wondering if we could all get together and discuss a potential start date? Personally, I could start it at the beginning of the month, or start others at the beginning and save A Sparrow for later. Either way is fine with me! 😉

So sorry that it's only now I saw your messages! I must have missed the notifications somehow! I am about 1/4 done with The Butterfly and the Violin. It's very good, but I'm reading it slowly. It's my goal to finish it by the end of October. If you guys want to start A Sparrow right now, go ahead and I'll catch up! Let me know :-)

Enjoy the upcoming holidays😊

I do hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. Nice to learn a little more about history along with the fictional aspect😊

Diana, I'm sorry we haven't made time to read this all together yet! I pray your classes go well!
Charmaine, let me know when you are ready to read A Sparrow in Terezin. I'm not in a huge rush, as I'm reading other books right now. Maybe when we are ready, Diana will be able to join us! :)
