This is great to know, Den..."
I've been downsizing and getting rid of books is the HARDEST. I went from a 4 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apartment so I've had to get rid of more than half my books:(( Keeping about 1,000 though!

I so understand that, Denise. I went through a similar situation a few years back, and it was really hard to hand over my books. It's great that someone else will get to read them though :)

However, i have a Scribd subscription, Overdrive digital thru library and all those freebies for my kindle. I have over 4000 kindle books floating around the cloud somewhere but at least they aren't around the house! So many good ones on Scribd, i haven't worked on the last 100 or so print books lately. Guess i need to knock off a few more of those.

That is so awesome, Chris! Just think of the books someone else is able to read because you donated them. Giving up books is a really hard thing to do...at least for me it was.
I like how you handled getting through the books on your bookcases. Smart plan, and you have done an awesome job of getting it competed.
Now...I am unfamiliar with Scribd. Should I be looking into this? What am I missing? Please tell me more :)

Wow Chris thats amazing! Good for you! Don't tell me about Scibd lol I'm in enough trouble so to speak. uhhh 4000?? well, at least they don't take up space. Get back to those print books - Nooks and Crannies challenge on Wacky helps me with this goal. Its only for physical books.

Yes, I can see why!

Got it, Laur. Thank you!
I feel like I'm missing out on some good books by this author. Seems like I'm always saying that, but with this author, he keeps popping up on my Goodreads path....all the time. I think I need to move him up the list :)

They are really fun westerns! (Gritty realistic westerns, not the romance western). I particular like Smoke Jensen series and Red Ryan series - the last one I just finished was awesome. If you are a NetGalley reviewer, I believe you can request and read it for free now.
Lots of different ones by the Johnstone authors, I'm barely whetting the tip of my page turning finger, but all the ones I have read thus far and so good!

I know! That is why I chose it but the main character is so completely annoying...ugh
Updated to here!
That's too bad about the character, Denise. Makes it hard to get through a book.
