O read this book a LONG LONG time ago so I don’t really remember much but the hero doesn’t respect the heroine much. They’re in a relationship and the hero is kind of a dick. Heroine is quirky and dresses up too in a quirky way. Hero works for a big deal or company/ art something like that I think and doesn’t invite heroine to an company event or maybe he does invite her and she shows up dressed in her own style. So the heroine shows up maybe uninvited and hero is kind of embarrassed of her but soon realises if he goes to recognise her true worth he’s going to lose her. Idk I’m sorry for being so vague but this is what I remember.

Jennifer Crusie has Strange Bedpersons in which the "classy" guy brings the "quirky girl" for a business trip and is embarrassed. She also has The Cinderella Deal with a similar setup- she's the quirky woman who poses as his wife so he can get a job. Both involve a fake relationship that turns real.
