rory (rorybaskin378) | 92 comments This books starts by talking about the girl's cat. The cat can maybe talk, but is definitely not an ordinary cat. Potentially named something like Magnolia? 99% her name started with an m. The cat (Magnolia) used to be a show cat in some circus, I think. The girl was just sent to live with some relative, probably an aunt or uncle. She is an ordinary girl, but then she discovers she is a fairy. There is something to do with the relative's animal figurines that she is not supposed to touch but does anyway. I think she is drawn to one figurine in particular (maybe a swan?) and that one is magical. There is definitely one scene where it is snowing outside and she starts of sliding down the banister but ends up flying. Sometimes she can fly and sometimes she can't? There is definitely another scene where the girl is at school and talking to her friend (the friend's name might start with A, but I don't think that's really relevant). the friend says that only fairies can kiss their elbows, and the little girl can. The girl's cat might get turned into one of the figurines at one point in the story, but I'm not sure. At the end the girl gets reunited with her exiled fairy parents and they explain everything to her (it is possible that only one of them is a fairy but still married the other one, and that is why they got exiled and the little girl is a fairy in human form). I probably read this book around 2014, but I am not sure. I don't know the main character's name. It is around a 2nd-3rd grade reading level. The cover might feature the cat, with the (unknown) title written on a block of red color. I am not at all sure about this bit with the cover, however. Please help!
