I've heard of a book in which the main character is suffering from bullying at his school. One day, he bump into an old man in some kind of alley who offers him a gift.

This old man had also the ability to change the color of his eyes as he blinks. The boy didn' t trust hum, and he ran away.

After that, in the schoolyard, he discovered that he's able to stop the time.
