I loved West and how protective he was! Also her dad has a ton of ships.. because they are all under his command. He definitely built an empire while she on the damn island.

I am really liking Fable so far! I love the writing and Fable seems like a great strong and independent female character. Also her ability to find minerals is both a unique power and convenient for her current situation. I really want to know what the deal is between Fable and her father, besides the fact that her mother is dead and Fable was left stranded on an island. (hide spoiler)]

I feel like this isn't the last we are going to see of West and the rest of the Marigold crew. At least I hope not. I like them, and it was nice for Fable to finally have allies (kind of). West knowing Saint totally makes his previous behavior make sense. Also, I wasn't sure how Fable's meeting with Saint was going to go, but it wasn't that non-violent or calm. I can't believe he would just turn her away, although he did leave her a very large inheritance if she can get it. Maybe he really is just trying to keep her safe? Or maybe he is an awful father. I didn't realize how much I wanted Fable and West to have feelings for one another until it finally happened. Yes, I love them!
Overall this book was really really good. I love when books surprise me. Fable had a lot of good reviews, but everyone is different, so I never set my expectations too high. This, however, was really entertaining and fun. I kind of hate that the story ended on a cliffhanger, but I also love it. I cannot wait for Namesake! (hide spoiler)]
