Wil (wilrobnson) | 3 comments I believe this was from a Scholastic Book Club purchase in the late 1980's or so.

The most I recall was a group of teens (3-5?) were sent undercover into a private USAF-style academy to uncover spies of some sort. One of the male characters suspected the Academy owner's daughter who was having late-night conversations via the then-mysterious 'internet'.

Another was in a small jet with an instructor who was suspicious of him and promptly ejected, leaving the teen to land the plane with radio help from the control tower.

The best I can recall, the ejecting instructor's name was "Rucker"; the teen may have been "Matt".

I believe this was sort of series of "teen detective heroes" fiction for young adults.

I've spent the last few months trying different search terms and finally stumbled upon WorldCat which provided the answer.

Ordered it today.
