I believe this was from a Scholastic Book Club purchase in the late 1980's or so.
The most I recall was a group of teens (3-5?) were sent undercover into a private USAF-style academy to uncover spies of some sort. One of the male characters suspected the Academy owner's daughter who was having late-night conversations via the then-mysterious 'internet'.
Another was in a small jet with an instructor who was suspicious of him and promptly ejected, leaving the teen to land the plane with radio help from the control tower.
The best I can recall, the ejecting instructor's name was "Rucker"; the teen may have been "Matt".
I believe this was sort of series of "teen detective heroes" fiction for young adults.
