My Life

My life is like a book
Where everything’s okay
Then I look around and see
It’s all coming my way.
My life is like a movie
Where everyone feels fine
Then they lose their only love
That was perfect and divine.
My life’s a young adult book
Where disappointment is the norm
You’re friends are suicidal
Your mind’s a raging storm
So I’ll write another ending
I’ll shoot another scene
No, my life is not a chick flick
Or a paperback for teens.
