I agree. I'm ready to give the book another try :-)

Thanks Matthew for trailblazing the Odd Trail ! Thanks for the Datura tip.
I'll be re-reading Forever Odd soon!

I also wanted to say that agree with all you that Datura was a bomb*** villain. one of my favorite things about Koontz is the realism behind his villains - he gives them that subtle real feeling that makes the character draw you into the book. Yet he also leaves them slightly outside of "real" so that they are definitely the "bad guy."

It's funny, I ALWAYS forget that Dean DOES define the voodoo terms for the reader at the very end of the novel. This is my second complete reading of Forever (started it and laid it aside as a re-read multiple other times) and I always Google search the voodoo terms since I never think they'll get defined for me.

I sure hope I enjoy Forever Odd more this time around :-)
You have good taste with Odd Interlude as a favorite!

Really glad that we are revisiting the series, though. I seem to remember that Brother Odd was a favorite of mine.
I have a few other books to read (plowing though some of my tbr list) AND my son has gotten me started on the I,Robot series by Asimov...Absolutely loved the first one.

On the other hand, I had to go back to check the name of this one that I just finished...eek. Need to get something down before it is just a faded or lost memory :-}

I'm a bit behind this month. I'll get the new Discussion Thread for Brother Odd created by this weekend.
I'll also start reading Forever Odd this weekend.

We'll feature book two, Forever Odd, during the month of August. Book one, Odd Thomas is our July Group Read. Just in case you get ahead of schedule and can't stop, here's the new 2020 Discussion thread for Forever Odd.
Happy Reading!
