I don’t write children’s stories and some of you may have children at home who’ve run out of good books to read. Here then is something from Carole P. Roman, an award winning author, whose first big book of silly jokes lives on my bookshelf for all visiting children. A friend of mine had a baby girl who was quiet and easy to care for. The couple decided this was a doddle, so they could easily handle another child. I met my friend when the girl was 3 and the boy was 18 mos. In her words, "We said, this is easy! Parenting is a breeze! And God just laaaaughed--and sent us our son!"

Writers write, some better than others. Even Charles Dickens wrote some duds though, so the Internet says. However, I am absolutely sure that my big flop is a bigger flop than Dickens’ flops.Please rescue it - the hero’s having a hard time, they’re all out to get him and the heroine’s 12,000 miles away and being kept in the dark. Only you can save them from oblivion.
