Children's Picture book where something good happens and then something bad...

I'm hoping someone here can help me. My sister and I are trying to find a certain picture book. We can't remember the title or authour because of course ??

Anyway, it repeats "and then..."...one page will have something good that happened "and then..." something bad.

Then at the end it seems like its ending on something good but then it goes to "and then..." with a picture of a monster.

We're pretty sure its "and then..." but it could be "but then..."...does anyone have any ideas?

Edited to add: the monster is just seen on the very last page and there's no direct mention of the monster. Its just "and then...." picture of a monster

A picture book where it repeats "and then..."

I don't think its a super old book but probably within last 10 years or so. My sister had it in her Jr. School Age room at work so 6-7 years old. All I can remember is that it repeats something goes right "and then..." something goes wrong...at the end of the book it seems to end on something good happening but then you see a monster with the "and then..."

Any ideas??
