The Count of Monte Cristo?

I agree, that was a great book. I knew the author personally, he always said he was inspired by table top rpg gaming. He was a lot of fun to hang out with. Very imaginative person.

Western Australia!!
Sorry this book may be a hard one for people who aren't Australian.

The author is a West Australian writer who his known for writing stories about the WA coast and the ocean. He is also an environmental advocate.

Ok.. A story written by a guy by just using his left eye and someone else's patience. He unfortunately died just two days after publication

An autobiography about a guy who survived a high-speed car crash and whose wife is definitely not French :).

Is it On the Edge?
Everything was normal in this tiny town but, one day, something happened. Now, people can't go out and people can't go in. And they don't know why.

A spoiled, self centered girl gets everything she wanted, only to realise too late that it isn't what she actually wanted.

I read a book awhile ago about a future time when the humans are really teeny tiny, compared to the huge size of the new alien conquerors, but they stay strong and keep on living, only now they live in the walls of the houses that these huge new creatures have built.
Then, they make plans to abandon earth and leave on their huge spaceships and the humans make their own plans to sneak onto the spaceships . . . unnoticed, because they are so tiny.
and when the doubters ask, "how can we be sure we can live wherever they are going?" it's explained that they can, because both groups need the same environment (air, etc) and the humans are super-adaptable and can live anywhere . . . . essentially comparing the spread of humans across the earth and galaxy to roaches or rats or similar.
Anyone know the title of this one?
