modern sci-fi book about man who time travels, there was also a big emphasis on music records

I heard about the book probably at least 4 years ago, at the time it hadn't come out yet so I knew I had to wait. When I finally remembered about the book I couldn't remember where I had heard about it from (somewhere online)
I'm pretty sure the cover was orange with clipart-esque records on it. It was definitely a time travel book, but I also remember there being a big importance with music and vinyl records specifically, and the main character was a male.
I only read the summary (because the book wasn't out yet) so I don't have the most in-depth summary, but I remember it looking really interesting.

Only thing that comes to mind is Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.. He is a time traveler and he's very into vinyl records and concerts and punk music.

A bit of a stretch, but perhaps A Lush and Seething Hell: Two Tales of Cosmic Horror? Two novellas, one of which is about a man traveling the American South recording folk songs in the 1930s on vinyl records.

If that's not it, can you recall the overall genre or feel of the book -- horror, suspense, general fiction? Do you recall when the story was set (present day, 1990s, 1970s, 1950s)? Anything about the main character, or how the time travel happened (machine, portal, magic...)?
