Awesome! Card 5 hand 6 done. I will read my other book for card 9 then and hand 6 will be complete. Loved this book by the way.
My hold came in, so I think I'll start
. It fits the following:3
- 3rd in series
6
- title starts with S
Draw 2
- author name starts with D (DeLeon)
It fits the wild draw 4 in hand 1 because there's an animal on the cover and it fits task 6. If we get to hand 8, it would fit the wild draw 4 because it has an animal on the cover and fits the 3 or 6.

Awesome! So many choices... I think I'm going to plug it in hand 8 draw 4. If we don't fill card 6 in hand 7 I'll switch it to there.
And is it my imagination, but is everyone reading the Miss Fortune series? lol
Jayme wrote: "And is it my imagination, but is everyone reading the Miss Fortune series? lol"The Sinful Ladies are just so fun! I read the first one in March after seeing people talking about them in a different toppler and got hooked. They're great for when you need a lighter book.
Finished
which was good and the cat on the cover looks like my Storm kitty. :)Started
and I might be able to get to
. Fingers crossed.
Finally finished Too Hot Four Hula and I think it can fit here:Can use for Card #4 - task - four in title or book 4 in series
Can use for Card #2 - task - title starts with T
Needed in hands #1, 3, 5, 6
Still working on other 2 books. On my way to reporting thread.
You all are amazing. I was just going to ask how everyone was doing and then you all are reporting away!!
Finished and reported Swamp Sniper. I may have bribed my 14 year old with ice cream to watch her 4 year old brother so I could get more reading time. Don't tell anyone. :)
@Jayme - I edited the reporting comment for King Henry IV, part 2I know I haven’t exactly read what I said I was. I didn’t realize before this that the War of the Roses was a series, so I’ve been reading them in order.
I am quite shocked at the speed I have been reading this week, and my brain is mush right about now!! But, I’m going camping with the family this weekend so I’m going to try and finish at least one more book before then!

Joe you've rocked this! Go and enjoy your camping weekend. The Toppler ends at noon on Saturday. If you get a book finished great, if not, no worries. It's been awesome having you on our team. You made me curious about reading the War of the Roses series too.
I've switched one of my books. I put down Right Behind You (to violent/graphic) and am reading instead Black Out. It will work for hand 6: card 9 or 0. Will be gone all Friday morning, but should finish it this afternoon.

With everyone finishing up their slated books we just have hand 8 empty. If you think you can finish another book (I know by now we have mush brains), check out the spread sheet hand 8 to see if a book that you might be able to read will fit one of the cards, if not, read what you want and we will shuffle if we can. I've already shuffled some this morning to complete hand 7.
You all are amazing and have made being the scorekeeper a breeze. I wonder if Kristie would let us be a recurring team? ;)
I finished Captain Blood last night and will start It's Like This, Cat when I get home from work after noon. It's a short one, and young adult, so it will go fast. I'm confident I'll finish in plenty of time.
EDITED TO CHANGE BOOK. I'm not promising anything, but I might be able to read another book which fits in spots on Hand 8. I've picked out another short, fast one: The Spell of the Sorcerer's Skull.Card 3

I asked Kristie what happens if we complete 8 hands and have books leftover. She's creating 2 more hands.

I might be able to fit in another book for hand 8. I will know later this evening. I just picked up my holds from the library and there is a little one begging to be read for the Toppler.
I'll be able to squeeze in Anxious: Choosing Faith in a World of Worry.

And to think I originally thought we'd be lucky to complete Hand 4! I'm laughing, Jayme!! It's unreal!
Ok - I have updated the spreadsheet to include hands 9 & 10. Take a peak to see what's up next!@Amanda - I will slate your new book on the spreadsheet.
@Debra - I know. I was amazed when we got to hand 6!!
I'm wondering if anyone needs backup in case they can't finish any books which are currently slotted in for any hands prior to number 8? Or, Jayme have you already got swaps in mind in case that happens?
Ok I've been playing musical chairs with our books and most still being read are in hands 7 & 8. I think we are good to go. I will take a look and update later this evening. I will be up late tonight reading. :)
That's great, Jayme! I'll be up late, too!I'm almost done with It's Like This, Cat. An easy fast read. I'll definitely finish The Spell of the Sorcerer's Skull.

I finished I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced and will post in reporting thread.I'm also about 4 1/2 hours out from finishing Sapphire Blue.
All right, that's it for me. I finished and reported my last two books and my brain is so tired. :) I have no time to read tomorrow morning, and I think I'll spend tomorrow afternoon napping and playing video games. Thanks for keeping track of everything for us Jayme! It was fun!

Thanks Amanda for dipping our toes into hand 9 :)
I finished my last two books and will report them momentarily. Whew! My brain is fried, but it's been fun! Everyone did an awesome job. Jayme, your scorekeeping and juggling has been amazing!
Thanks Debra. I just finished my last book Optic Nerve and will record it in a second. i would have finished earlier, but I had to stop and Google the paintings that were mentioned. It's a really good book by the way.
I just added Optic Nerve to my TBR. I need to take a few minutes and look up what everyone else read this week, and will probably add a lot more!
