What the 4th book is I thought they should have just included at the end of the one, instead of just deciding to make another
I think the fourth book is set far in the future and concerns the next generation, doesn't it? It sounds like more of an addition than something specifically planned, but it would provide a great way to explore and wrap up a lot of the things that were rushed at the end of The One. I can't wait to read it and find out.

I'm excited for it! I didn't think there was much closure to the whole "rebel" business, so it'll be interesting to see where it goes! The synopsis sounds like it's going to be good.
yeah, and its supposed to be about maxon and america's daughter, and shes in the selection now... it sounds very interesting!
Belle wrote: "yeah, and its supposed to be about maxon and america's daughter, and shes in the selection now... it sounds very interesting!"yes, that's true, especially since the selection is usually only for the prince
yeah, if i was a princess im sure i like that too... having 35 guys fight for me.. but hey we saw how girls fight for men
now we see it the other way around
epic, no?

Very true, but they are thirty-five guys all the same. I think rules for the selection are different anyway when it's a princess... I can't remember what was said about it. I believe it was explained in the first book, but I could be wrong.
realli? hmm... i read it a couple days ago and dont recall anything like that... but i'll recheck and see...but hey, i wonder how maxon is going to handle 35 guys all over his little girl :)
Leah wrote: "Oh, I'd pay to see that."wouldnt we all?
lets see prince maxon- mr. i love america, wath as his little girl is being manhandled by mn who all want to be the next prince...
im telling u, its all about the money and title, and less about the actual person's character
Okay, I found this on page 7 (I have it on a Kindle so I'm not sure if that is entirely correct. Location 116 of 4407) "Princesses born into the royal family were sold off into marriage in an attempt to solidify our young relations with other countries."
However... who knows if that is how it will be handled in The Heir. 35 dramatic men competing for a ladies hand while Maxon watches in horror sounds appealing. If it goes in the direction that the quote says, then that could also be interesting. I, personally, would hate being sold off into marriage. I'm sure there's a reason for the fourth book and it is not just dragging out the series.
Maybe. However, the two additional books in the Selection Series are about Maxon and America's daughter so it is essentially a new story. Hopefully America's daughter will be smarter than America was. As long as Kiera Cass doesn't repeat the same kind of drama as the Selection it should be a good read and addition to the series. I cannot wait to see how Maxon reacts to the advances on his daughter. 35 bachelors hanging around his daughter should be a lot of fun to witness. :)

i dont think maxon would really agree to his daughter being sold... he sort of did bend the rules in his situtaion, and would probably let her choose...
also i know 100% america would not support this at all

Ashli wrote: "I think they should just leave it alone. It ended so perfectly"Didn't you have a ton of questions about the rebels ?

Well to be honest I didn't really think of that but now that you say so, yes

I expect there will be a lot of changes in the way the system works since Maxon and America are leading it. Guess we'll see.

Yeah I think so too. But no matter what, it will be intersting. If it's with 35 men competing, or if she will be sold off into marriage.
I'll admit, I'm not the biggest fan of America, so I think that this next book might be better because it's told through someone else's eyes that might not annoy me as much as America annoyed me. I'm sorry if you really liked America, but she gave me so many headaches with her indecisiveness and impulsiveness in situations.

Renée wrote: "Anahy wrote: "I'll admit, I'm not the biggest fan of America, so I think that this next book might be better because it's told through someone else's eyes that might not annoy me as much as America..."I totally agree. If she actually choose someone (preferably Maxon) sooner I don't think I would have been so frustrated with her by the third book.
Anahy wrote: "I'll admit, I'm not the biggest fan of America, so I think that this next book might be better because it's told through someone else's eyes that might not annoy me as much as America annoyed me. I..."Those are two of the traits that really frustrated me when I was reading the series. America never really made a decision and stuck to it and if she did she overall made the wrong decision. I am happy we get to have a fresh new perspective for the next two books.
The Heir should be the start to a new trilogy on America's daughter. I also got really annoyed that America was so flaky and couldn't make a decision. I mean would you pick a kind prince who you love, or your "first love" who can't provide anything for you?
Pretty obvious right America!?
I think they are having the Selection for Maxon and America's daughter because even though the princess(es) are supposed to be sold off in marriage to help foreign relations, America already helped relations by helping to get rid of the cases, etc. But like Varsha said, it should be a new trilogy instead of an addition to the Selection series.
Well I was looking through Amazon looking for new books and I saw The Heir book four to the selection. I had two reactionsOh. My. Gods. Are we really doing all this stuff again I had three books wroth of America and her annoyance.
My second reaction was this.....
OH MY GODS!!!! ANOTHER BOOK YES!!!! I can't wait to read it.
So mix feelings....
A lot of people think of America as annoying. I did too. But I reread the series and realized it was Maxon's character that annoyed me. Trust me, Maxon's the annoying one not America
I do think she's stretching the series since the heir doesn't relate to The One. But I'm really excited to read another book. Kiera Cass is an amazing writer! But I also agree with others, the heir shouldn't be another book of the selection. It should be it's own trilogy.
I thought they were getting rid of the selection entirely, and aren't the sons supposed to get the selection and the daughters married off?
Macy wrote: "I thought they were getting rid of the selection entirely, and aren't the sons supposed to get the selection and the daughters married off?"i think its supposed to be a new thing
Ria wrote: "Can't wait to see America's twins Eadlyn and Ahren Schreave! I hope Eadlyn takes after Maxon- that would be interesting!"what twins????????
It is a different generation. They aren't prolonging America and Maxon's story as a main plot. It is centered around their daughter...I believe around twenty years after America and Maxon got married.
Michelle wrote: "@Belle America and Maxon have twins. The daughter is the main character in the Heir."
so they have a boy and a girl?
i am so confused right now? where r u guys finding this all out?
@BelleScroll down to "things you must know about the heir." It tells you about the twins.
