SOLVED. YA Fantasy novel about Egyptian reincarnation. MC has visions of a past life living in Ancient Egypt. [s]

YA Fiction. I think there was a part where the main character, teenager maybe, had been invited to visit some modern facility where she was sat in a chair and she started having visions of a past life in Ancient Egypt. There were other people in the room too, not just her, who I think were also people who were reincarnated. She even had the blunt haircut that is depicted in Ancient Egyptian portraits that she mentions when she's getting ready to go to Halloween party dressed as an Ancient Egyptian queen. There was another part, a vision or dream, where a royal or an elder member was getting her braids done and she got fed up with it and told her hairdresser that it would be popular soon among the rest of the people. Probably read in middle school 2003-2007. Will edit the more research I do on my own or if I remember more.
