I was looking at team recommendations to see if anyone had recommended , and noticed that Susan had read . Is the second one as good as the first, and would you recommend it? (For use in a task?)

Can I get an opinion on a task, please? I'm getting ready to read Officer off Limits. MC is a police officer. Which task does that fit better? I'm leaning towards 34, but wanted to double check.

Task 34: Read a book with a job word in the title (e.g. nurse / teacher / writer / etc)
OR
Task 196: Read a book with a title word in the title (e.g. queen / mister / president / etc)

Imho I would go with task #34 because officer is a job word not a title word

If it's me I read the first book and LOVED it and I have to read the next one BUT I've heard it's even better then book 1. If you're asking this Susan then yes I would recommend it without ever having read it because my daughter thought it was amazing and Reagan from PeruseProject thought it every bit as good as book 1 if not better and so did her boyfriend, Clay who has just gotten into reading books she picks for him.

Please wait on the pumkinheads book. It was brought to my attention by someone on another team that it is a comic book and only 6000 words. Both of those alone would be flagged as against the rules.

Children's books, Graphic Novels, Scripts/plays (movie and theater), Cookbooks and Poetry books cannot be used unless by word count they can be verified (by arbookfinder.com or arbookfinder.co.uk) as at least 40,000 words or have an audio edition that is at least 5 hours long

This happens to me as well. If I can get my hands on a new book from a fav author, it usually helps me get going again.

I'm in the same boat. I've only managed to finish one so far for this round. I should have the beach finished by Friday, but reading has been a struggle.

I'm going to follow Tammie's advice, get a fave author in.

I'm there in the slump with y'all. I want to just read comforting old favorites that I've read a thousand times but I should read the 2 dozen arcs I have from Netgalley so of course that means I read nothing at all.

Galleyathon is happening on Twitter starting on the 10th, so I think I'm gonna just let myself lean into the rereads for a few days and buckle down on the arcs next week. Hopefully that decision will let me get more reading done lol.

Round 5 spreadsheet is up. Please take some time to move books that you won't be able to finish this round over to that spreadsheet. Our new word is backpacking so lots of duplicate letters. Make sure all of your round 4 books are on your shelf and have read dates.

I won't be able to finish the book I had for U. I think I might just quit this book, I'm having a hard time on getting into it...

I changed out the two unfinished books I had because I had to return one to the library and the other is making me so emo that I'm reading it super slow atm and won't have it finished by Friday. I finished a book last night that's fit for one and fingers crossed I'll finish the other today.

I can't believe I was so stupid! I accidentally put it on my Tower v shelf instead of my Wheel v shelf. It's fixed, but I guess it's probably too late.

And...I forced myself to finish that terrible book!
