Thanks for the letters and the tags. I like these tags better and I can work with those letters. Now off to scribble in my notebook some more.....
It was probably some weird magical spell that came over from Chain of Gold. I just finished it earlier today and then had to spend some time with the Shadowhunters family tree to try to put all the people together.
Considering I'm limiting myself to authors of color this summer I'm excited about China as a tag. I currently have a whole bunch of those sitting on my fireplace that I had pulled out of the library.
I just got the kindle version of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes two weeks earlier than the library app estimated. Jumped right in! Anyone else read it or plan to?Also, not sure how this happened... I thought I finished my fourth book this morning, but when I went to the tracking sheet it's actually my sixth. woot woot. Books fly when you're having fun :D

You guys are awesome leaders - thanks Jenny and Angie!I just did a quick look through my digital library "TBR" list and reserved ones that fit the tasks. I jumped the gun and added them all to the spreadsheet (with task assignments to come).
However - there is a cozy mystery series I'm halfway through with the MC having a "W" last name, so I can also swap some easier letters I found to keep the remaining 5 in the series for the next round too. Totally cool with anything, but if W trips some others up, the Sarah Winston Garage Sale Mystery series (starting with Tagged for Death) are quick reads I've enjoyed (at least the first 3) so far this year!

I'm not a planner - I will read whatever to fit open letters! I can plan a couple, but not many. We can switch books around as needed, so please pick the letters you want. I like Willow Rose books - great for W's too!

I usually don't plan my physical copies of books, but lately I've been trying to whittle down my library TBR on Libby (although I rarely input those into my GR TBR, so it's a losing battle of a dwindling a TBR lol) and have been going through it as I get the words/letters and just immediately borrowing ones that fit to read during the rounds of letter-based games like this one. So that helps my planning and helps me not ignore my library TBR, which I often forget I've even tagged in Libby :)

Let me know what you think about it, I have seen lots of mixed reviews. I have it on hold at the library for next month.
I have managed to finish another couple of books, 3 left to read which will probably be my lot for this round. I not planning for the next word, I will just see what fits as I go. Sometimes planning to far ahead spoils the books for me as I like to have a look through my collection and see what cover fits my mood at the time, if the letters fit *bonus*
Make that 4 to finish, just four another book I am reading that fits.

I have this book ready to go. I was planning on reading it during these two weeks and then had to rearrange all my books around because it didn't fit in a couple other challenges. I'm hoping that I can get it read during the next two weeks. I'm going to make it fit somewhere.
I tried to plan out my books and then marked off a lot of stuff and rearranged a lot of stuff. I'll plan out a couple but I have a feeling that's how it's going to go.

I'm going to look at the words tonight and see what all I can move around to get us the most completed spell-outs. We can have one partial spell-out per round and still get the points.Kelly - if you mean move your book to the next round's word - we can only move books that aren't completed until 5:01 EST on Friday (after the 2nd round starts).
I just added 3 or 4 books to the spreadsheet.
I will finish the two I'm reading now by Friday! Hopefully I can read a few more this next time around.

Yes I know. If you need me to finish it I will but I think it’s unlikely by the time limit.
Kelly, finish when you want. Whatever happens, we will make it work. We have a day and a half (ish) left in round one, and then we are to be plunging over the rapids in a tiny boat with only our wits as paddles! Sounds fun!!!

We are going to officially say our Rounds will end 2 hours prior to the official cutoff (excluding the final round...that will be determined later). So, 3pm EST tomorrow for this round will be our cutoff.If you don't finish what you are reading by that time, please save the last chapter or page to finish at 5:01 EST or after.
The official sheets will be locked and we want to make sure we get to use all books read.
Hope everyone is okay with this approach.....please, let us know if not.
I finished Five Feet Apart and just have to go to the thread and answer some more questions. I will do that tonight and update the spreadsheet with my finish date.I may also put some books I plan on reading on the round 2 tab.

I tend to scroll/explore my library's digital content on Libby and "tag" a book with little bookstack emoji option they have, which puts it into a separate list. I belong to two libraries since I'm a grad student and joined the city/county library where my apartment is, but still have the library where I grew up as a valid card since it's still my permanent address and luckily both use Libby so it's super easy and all my "tags" from either library go into one "shelf".
I tend to do that when I'm missing aimlessly wandering the library or bookstores looking for new titles or books to add to my list, but especially even moreso now that I actually cannot go into the library. However, I'm the worst at remembering these "tags" in the first place to even go back and request them when I'm ready, or transfer them to Goodreads.
So, I guess my GR TBR is closer to my actual TBR (and the books I have unread on my physical shelves at home) and the library one is full of books I saw when scrolling/exploring and didn't really look further into. It's a lot of books later on in series I just started or some first books in a lot of series to see if I'd like them. Ideally I'd remember to put those in GR for one list, but this works (except for the times the "tags" have been completely removed by the Libby app and lost forever lol).

Thank you for the explanation! It makes sense. I use Libby too, so I know what you’re talking about as far as the tags and such. I might have to do something similar just because I’m pretty strict with my GR TBR, e.g., I only allow myself one TBR per author at a time. (Signing up for giveaways messes with this at times.)
Always interesting to learn how other people manage their reading habit :P

I usually have two books on the go at once, one of my Kindle and the the other on audio :)
Think I am finished for this round, won't manage to finish anything else before today's deadline. Work calls ;(
