Any ideas for a good audiobook? Hopefully available without holds from a public library

message 1054: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments I can give you some good ideas. What are you in the mood for?

message 1055: by [deleted user] (new)

Something along the lines of fantasy of fiction

message 1056: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments Give me a sec.

message 1057: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments OK, none of these are brand new, so hopefully there will not be a queue at the library.

Thank you

Jenny | 8068 comments I went through the spreadsheet and there are a couple of books listed as done that are not on people's shelves. When you all get a chance, can you please check your shelves please?

I also started to go through the tasks that weren't assigned yet and found some workable ones. I kind of like the scavenger hunt aspect, so I will try to find more later.

message 1060: by [deleted user] (new)

Finished my next book

I realized I hadn't shelved a few, but I think I've got them all fixed/updated now! Thanks for your help! Finding tasks is fun for this last round because I don't need to worry about "saving" anything for the future rounds.

Jade aka MrsTosh (mrstosh) | 787 comments I have finished a couple of books and updated the sheet hoping to finish Midnight Sun tonight for another challenge, it's been hard going. Whilst there are some things I am learning from Edwards perspective for the first time, the rest is all quite repetitive and very slow to actually get into details of his feelings instead of events that have happened ie the car park incident.

I have also found a couple more X books on my kindle so will get them added.

message 1063: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments Too bad. I was hoping that Midnight Sun would be better than it sounds. Oh well.

Me too, I was a mad Twilight fan back in the day, I even sat in the cinema when Breaking Dawn Part 2 came out and watched them all back to back. It was an enjoyable read, but not what I was hoping for.

message 1065: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments We are down to the last few days of Wheel. We have done really well thus far, and this week we are a little behind our pace, but not by much.

Kate, you haven't put any books down on the sheet yet, do you plan to read some this week?

Also, a lot of you seem to be reading the BOM Spin the Dawn. If you haven't looked into it yet, it is a quick fun read.

Have fun with the last bit of the challenge!!!!

message 1066: by Jade aka MrsTosh (new)

Jade aka MrsTosh (mrstosh) | 787 comments I am going to start Spin the Dawn later, will finished all my books this week, hopefully can fit a few smaller ones in too.

message 1067: by [deleted user] (new)

hoping to get two more books read

message 1068: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 965 comments Oh don't worry, I have books, now where to make them all fit, I'll work on that tonight. I should have at least 5-6 to add by Friday.

message 1069: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3107 comments This word doesn't play well with the Olympics challenge at all!! Lol

message 1070: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments My brain is so confused right now. I have started about 6 books, and since several of them are from the nautical list from Turf, I keep getting the storylines confused! Silly.
I am finishing a really weird and fantastic book right now- Qualityland. I so want to recommend this one to all, but it is deeply weird, and I'm not sure it is everyone's taste.
Ooh. Michelle Obama is about to speak...got to go!

message 1071: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3107 comments I like weird!! I'll add it to my TBR!

My brain is just confused!! Lol!!

message 1072: by Celia (new)

Celia (cealcrest) Looks right up my alley too, Jenny. TBR'd.

message 1073: by Celia (new)

Celia (cealcrest) Argh, I want day 3 of the Spin the Dawn DQs so I can finish the book... lol

message 1074: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments Yeah, I think I will finish it tonight anyway. But, it is nice to get the questions and not get ahead.

message 1075: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments Hey everyone!
We have just over one day left in this challenge. Please check that your books are entered on the spreadsheet, and on your Wheel shelves when they are finished.
If you all need help finding tasks, I will be playing a bit with the spreadsheet later today.

We seem to have lost Kate this last week, so if you all have last minute books you can finish, don't be shy. And remember for those of you reading the BOMs to have at least three days of participations to link up.

message 1076: by [deleted user] (new)

Don't think I'll finish anymore after all

message 1077: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments No worries, Slytherpuff, you have been a champ!

message 1078: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you. I've gotten distracted by other things

message 1079: by Angie ☯ (new)

Angie ☯ | 3107 comments Anna - you read Pachinko....were you going to do the DQs?

message 1080: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (louloo) | 140 comments Last book marked as finished! 😊

message 1081: by bamaace83 (new)

bamaace83 | 965 comments Oh man! I’ll do those this morning. I also have some last minute books to add this morning. Work has been super crazy but I’ll make that happen.

message 1082: by Jade aka MrsTosh (new)

Jade aka MrsTosh (mrstosh) | 787 comments I have marked everything I have read, I am on with another book at the moment but not sure I will finish it in time. If I do will add it on to the sheet.

message 1083: by Teasha (new)

Teasha Schultz (lhk3) | 151 comments I finished my two books and added them to spreadsheet.

message 1084: by Kate (new)

Kate (kcbond) | 643 comments Am adding one more this morning and then should have everything in!

message 1085: by bamaace83 (last edited Aug 21, 2020 06:20AM) (new)

bamaace83 | 965 comments I added two more books. The last one I added I don't have a task left for. I used a bunch of tasks! I also answered my questions and fixed that.

message 1086: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments Ha! I found a task for your last book, Anna. According to TinEye, it is a brown cover.

I cleaned up the incorrect tasks on the spreadsheet, so the only thing still highlighted is my last book, Betty, which will be done before I head to work in an hour or so.

message 1087: by Kate (new)

Kate (kcbond) | 643 comments Last book in!

message 1088: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 8068 comments I'm done too!

I have to recommend Betty by Tiffany McDaniel .
Holy crap, was this a good book!

message 1089: by Alissa (new)

Alissa | 771 comments I’m adding my last book now.
