Man! I thought I would get the spreadsheet updated before you all realized we had our new word! Lol - and then work attacked! Haha!! The spreadsheet will be ready in 30 minutes or less. 🙂
Round 4 spreadsheet is ready.....Cut loose!
I'm finally getting to Sun Down Motel. It doesn't fit any of the things I need it to fit for the Olympics but I want the bonus points. I'm also reading it in the sections of the questions so I really have no idea what is going to happen. I have tons of books lined up for the next 7ish days so I'll figure out where they fit in regards to time.
Anna - that book was recommended by both our team and another team I think. If you want to save the Mystery task.
We have officially spelled out our LOOOONNNNG word 5 times!! And, we only need 4 more letters for a 6th time!

I am having the same problem!! That's why I mentioned it!
I am about to finish Under the Dome, so I will have time to listen to The Sandman, which has about 100 characters in it. I will see what letters we need before I put it on the sheet.
I am still working through two books more likely for the next word
I managed to fit in another X book yesterday, just have one more to finish before tomorrow. Are there any other letters were are short of?
Not sure I can finish Pachinko and The Round House by tomorrow. I will pick one and move the other sometime today. Probably will go with The Round House just because it’s shorter.
You could save Pachinko for book of the month in August? It starts August 2nd. That way you could get more points for it. I'm planning on reading it for BOM.

I’m finished with all but one of my books but I will finish tonight and update the spreadsheet tonight or in the morning.
Finished Roots so that's 91 points! Also finished Sex and Vanity today by Kevin Kwan and just started The Round House which I should finish with no problems by noon tomorrow. Took off Pachinko and will read it in August!
I'll go see where we stand on letters - I would have done this earlier but was sidelined with a migraine. All better now, thank goodness!
Damn. I am glad your migraine went away!I will finish both Sandman and the Miniaturist by the morning. I can probably put Sandman anywhere. I will update possible letters soon.
We need an X to finish the current word...before we can use any other letters in an "incomplete word". If we get the X, then any letter in the word is open as we can start a new one!
I thought I was reading for an X character, but of course, he wasn't in the book! I will see if I can find a quick X book, if needed. But I think Jade's last book is an X....
I have finished my last book, which covered X just marked it on the spreadsheet ;)

I finished another book I hadn't put on the sheet so added that as well. Covers G if we manage to spell another word.
We can use the G - because we get to have 1 unfinished word.

If you want to read something else for this round or if you finish something before 5pm EST.... We have a full set of letters for OvernightExpress - minus 1 G and 1 S. But we don't technically need any thing; I don't see us completing another word.

The book I just entered Chili Con Corpses can be moved to work for an S too. The author is JB Stanley, but that is a pseudnym for Ellery Adams. My audiobook has both author names listed since it's a re-released book, so I put it under an E - but JB Stanley works too. It's also part of the "Supper Club Mysteries" now that I remember the title, so if the author debacle is too confusing - the series works too! I left it at the E - but it can be moved as needed. :)
I don’t think I can finish the Romanov book for O. I’m still going to try, but I have 8.5 hours left so will be cutting it very close.
Celia - You can save it for Round 4. Just don't finish it until after 5pm EST. No need to rush/stress about it!
Well, I probably should have let one of you do that, Angie or Jenny, but I just moved the Romanov book and Hidden Life of Trees to sheet 4. Thankfully Matilda went where the Tree book was because of an H character.I don't think I messed anything up... but yeah, I'll leave that to you two next time.
There is an O character in Jade's The Best Man Plan, so that could go where my other book was.
And I just finished my second to last book, with about two hours left on my audio for the last for this round for me.
Sorry to be scattered this round, everyone. Two deaths in my family, one sudden. And two out-of-town trips, one to see my grandma like I mentioned before, and one today for a work "retreat."I made two cakes and two pies for the retreat last night though... so something good will come of that trip anyway :D

I updated my last book let me know if I need to update anything.
We are good on letters - I have been moving them as they are red to the "copy" sheet. So much easier than trying to move them within our tracking sheet. ---- anything else read today will go to a new word.I'm going to update again and see where we are.
No one needs to worry or apologize! We are doing great.

Becoming is done. I had started it early this morning thinking I would use it for next week so I'm glad we had room for it and I had the time to finish it.
Sandman is done. Good timing too, as I am about to leave, and will not be able to listen any more.I am so glad the weekend is almost here!
Our score for Round 3 ~ 5,122........again, the highest score for the round!!.......
That moved us up to 2nd place!
